I also think he won 2 championships while an assistant coach at Miami under Jimmy Johnson

Well the whole experience is supposed to be about visiting the White House. I hated Barack Obama as the president but I would’ve accepted an invitation in a heartbeat and shook his hand because of his position alone.

Keltic mentioned Southern Cal.

I think he was with Miami as well.

All these Johnny-come-lately cats that didn't pay any attention to Trump before November 2016 have no idea. Trump's name used to be synonymous with fame and success in rap in the 2000s. Obviously the endless butthurt about him since 2016 has reduced that some, but he epitomizes the aspirational life style, even if he started off way ahead of most people chasing it. No surprise he's a hit with them for those who know anything about him.

Trump was the lone Presidential candidate to show up in LA after the Flood in 2016, WITH an 18 wheeler full of supplies.
He’s seen this team twice this season.
He got a standing ovation Monday night.

No surprise he likes this team
I like him. Seems to be sincere and quite humble.

I think he's on to something. 2020 Tigers all.

Some may, some may not. The point is they were mature and kept politics out of the event. This was about the leader of our country honoring them for the their accomplishments. I am proud as hell of these guys as players and as young men.

Amazing. Trump had a 20 minute speech memorized with stats and names.

Trump nailed his speech about this team. Knew more than most of the sports talking heads.
