You think Ms. State would fire Mullen? That's just stupid.

The only formula for a successful Coach O tenure is to have the very best coordinators. Basically, having Coach O as HC in name only.

Think about it, we've hired a HC we're paying NOT to coach.

LOL at Malzahn being 3rd likely to get fired. Most analysts have Auburn as the 2nd best team in the SEC.

On paper and before a single down of SEC football has been played this season.

If Malzahn can't get results then he'll likely get fired. Look at Miles...all of that talent but got fired because he couldn't put all the pieces together. It's a matter of squandering talent.

O might be able to do just that if he can maintain two top coordinators simultaneously every year but the possibility of being able to do that is slim to none.

Want to list one or two bad hires Coach Eaux has made in his career?

At Ole Miss he hired some guys who had also won NC's with the Miami Hurricanes.

He also gave Hugh Freeze his first ever college coaching job. Another guy that Coach Eaux gave his first every college coaching job - you probally never heard of because it was such a horrible hire -the current UTSA head coach - Frank Wilson. The only Broyles Award candidate and 9th best scoring OC last season hire is also a head scratcher.

Yeah, hiring coaches for Eaux really has me totally bent out of shape. Do you lose sleep over this also?

That's not exactly un-true. LSU just wants him to be a CEO type coach. Then again, isn't that what fans wanted Les to be? His alleged "meddling" in the offense is what ultimately led to his departure.

So in some ways you could say O has been hired to do what Les wouldn't...recruit, be the figure-head, and get out of the way of the game planning/play calling.

The only way O is fired this season is if he commits some kind of cheating or felony and gets busted. Literally that's it.

The fact that he's above Bert is laughable

Just about any first year coach has a chance of getting fired if they really shiiat the bed. Derek mason isnt goin anywhere. I would
Have the Odom 4th though. He's a defensive coach and they were horrible on D from what I saw. If they have a tough year I would not be shocked if he'd let go

I would put Mason ahead of him or at least tied, but the trick is the "first" coach fired, not "if" they will be fired. Some schools like Vandy and Kentucky may not fire the head coach part way through a season even if the coach was winless.

That would be true even if he hadn't fired D Craig and Jabar Juluke or hired Canada, Robinson and Joseph.

Like someone said earlier, it's his first year and he had to be somewhere on the list.

Also, it is just an opinion article which is very obvious when just glancing at the list.

The only way I see O fired after one year is if he "tanks" (7-5 or close to that);
this is entirely possible. O has shite the bed in dramatic fashion before. Losses to Bama, AU, UF, Ark are all easy to see if we let the wheels come off....

Thats the dumbest part of the whole thing.

I don't see why he is still here now. Hired a fantastic OC and has one of the top recruiting classes again. He was only 5-2 last year and if 5 runs the right way 6-1. He has got to go.

Maybe, yet to be seen. He had one good year at Pitt.

2017 was the lowest ranked class since 2012, and we lost more top LA recruits than any year since 1999.

2018 is ranked 12th with a bunch of 3 stars.

Neaux, the dumbest part is easily you.

What move has Coach Eaux made since being named head coach at LSU do you disagree with?

Name a few or one?

Extending Aranda?

Hiring Canada?

Finishing with the 7th ranked recruiting class in the nation with only 23 signees? After only 3 months on the job?

Tell me why I should be as stupid and miserable as you. Lay it out brother I want to cry about LSU football and am searching for a legitimate reason. TELL ME !!!

Thanks in advance for the wisdom you are about to lay down.

2017 had 23 signees and the average ranking per signee was higher than at least two classes since 2012. How the hell does that happen?

What's up with that shite? LSU played in the NC at the end of the 2011 season and Coach Eaux with a few months on the job signs the #7 ranked class in the nation with only 23 signees.

and we lost more top LA recruits than any year since 1999.

And replaced them with better players from out-of-state than the LA players. The #1 safety in the nation - Stevens, the #1 inside linebacker in the nation - Phillips, the #11 safety in the nation Todd Harris and the #4 WDE in the nation - K'Lavon Chaisson. Not to mention Delpit and Kary Vincent. And you are still crying.

Oh, poor Sporty. LSU finished with the 7th rated recruiting class. Let's all cry with him about how horrible it is.

Jesus dude it's not about him being able to identify the candidate, it's about the candidate actually being available. Why is that so hard for you to grasp? Top notch coordinators are not abundant in the first place and then you have the chore of prying them away from another team.

Well, BYU is lightly regarded, but was a bowl team. It's possible we could lose to them, especially if we're rusty and overconfident, and they are locked in.

Add in Alabama, Auburn, Florida (all teams we lost to last year), Arkansas might be good; and if we slip to one of the Mississippi schools and/or A&M...

you roll out 5-6+ losses right off the bat, and things will go insane around here.
