I would be for this if you and several other miserable assholes got on the boat with them.

O didn’t quit after winning the title, he just regressed back to the shitty Coach his entire body of work told you he was without Burrow.

I'm not advocating for him to come back to coach LSU

Hell he was better pre 2019 than he was post 2019.

Finished 2016 as interim strong, had a bad start to 17 then turned it around to finish strong.

Really he wasn’t awful.

Dude gave up after winning a title. It's like the players who think getting drafted is winning the lottery and don't work anymore. We were ahead of UGA. If we had a coach who was ambitious, we would have stayed ahead of UGA and won 2+ more titles. Instead, we cratered.

I certainly understand ur point of view. Didn’t say I loved the aftermath but if u would take back 2019 ur a fricking retard

Add in the Ryan Clark factor. Team gave up on him. It was totally different before then

he didn’t even know “our third string RB was starting a game”

then said we had to “hope and pray” we could get enough talent to compete with teams like Troy.

Then thank Joe Brady, Joe Burrow, Steve Ensminger. Dave Aranda and Bill Busch, because they're the ones that are responsible for the NC.

It was so bad, the next coach was only able to beat Alabama and win the West.

the adults left the room and O reverted back to being the O he has always been.

when you have a 37 year career and 2 look drastically different than the other 35, it's a pretty safe bet that those 2 are the anomaly.

It doesn't have to be one or the other....

other coaches continue coaching their programs after winning national titles. Some use that title to build things up more.

Let's not forget just HOW BAD it got after 2019. We opened 2020 at home against Miss State, a bad team. They were 6-7 in 2019, a perfect patsy for us to hang our title banners to open the season. They actually went 3-7 in 2020, so even worse.
Their QB threw for an alltime SEC record passing yds, over 600 yds with 5 tds. And he wasn't even any good; he was benched 2 games later.

Oh, it was covid, let's make excuses about that. Ok, 2021, the world is back to normal, we're opening on the road against a scrub UCLA team. Orgeron is talking shite about "sissy blue uniforms" before the game. And they beat the frick out of us, to the point where our QB is throwing blindly behind his back to avoid getting hit more.

2019 was great, nobody wants that to go away. Nobody wants 2003 or 2007 to go away either. Most of us want LSU to keep playing and winning more games, instead of tapping out after winning a title.

You could say the same thing about the 23' season with Jayden Daniels. Without JD's freak athleticism, Kelly finishes with a losing record along with a historically bad defense.
