Well, anyone who understands football would agree a better passing game could easily have saved Les's arse.

Only because the assumption is that that better passing game would lead to more wins.

If Les had the Number 1 passing offense in 2016, but still started 2-2, he is still no longer here.

Anyone who understands football would agree that an extra play for LSU from the 5 yard line could easily have resulted in a win over Auburn.

Hence my laughter at you acting like your "if" scenario is somehow more relevant than the other "if" scenario presented.

Why were were losing these games?

I highlighted the important part for you...

The flip-side here would be, "How did the offense look in these games we won?" The answer still could have been, "Quite shitty" but without the loss, it would not have mattered much.

You think it’s a myth that LF7 wouldn’t have been a more effective player if he was healthy?

This is as dumb as you trying to claim 2016 Missouri is the same quality team as Wisconsin because SEC.

The ability to move the football With three future NFL RB's, a simple competent passing game would have been awesome.

LF ran for over 130 in that game. We also had two future NFL RBs on the roster.

LF had over half of LSU's offense in the Wisconsin game. He did his part.

You know what failed? The passing game...

I'm not the one failing to connect a competent offense to winning a couple of games..

No. You're the one who said wins and losses don't matter as much as offensive production.

not A fan of relativity

He ran well against both Auburn and Wisconsin, but he had below average games YPC and scores 0TDs

WITH a sprained ankle. You don’t think he’s better at 100%?

That’s an absurd position.

No one disputes the possibility. I don't think a competent offense equals a win, I think it equals a better chance to win, but a win over 2 top 10 teams is not certain

But if feels like you are disputing the following:

1) If Les starts 4-0 without a competent passing offense, he is still here
2) If Les starts 2-2, with a competent passing offense that he would still be here.

1 is true. 2 is not true. Therefore, passing doesn't really matter.

You're literally arguing with a mirror here. There is no one here arguing in defense of Miles' offense...you realize that, right?

We all agree, and we all wanted a better offense.

And yet...had he won those close games in 2016, that same shitty offense we'd grown weary off, would have been enough for a 4-0 start...and he'd have never been fired after Game 4.

Shitty offense was almost certainly WHY we lost games we ought not to have...but the losses were more important than the reason, and we know that because we'd had the reason in place for fricking years.

Why didn't the coach put in one of the other future NFL backs?

LF accounted for over half our yards vs Wisconsin

Could have or would have? I don't think anyone is debating whether or not it could have saved his job. Maybe that's the meds talking though.

Exactly. He's already said that if Miles had an offense that threw for a bunch of yards it wouldn't matter if LSU was losing 3 or 4 games. He'd still be the coach.
