You just said miles is fired if we start 2016 4-0.

Correct.

His offense wasn't good enough to win 4 games

Wait...what?

If he'd have won 4 games...it would have, by definition...been good enough to have won those 4 games. You know...because they would have won them.

Are you just fricking with us now?

Your cognitive ability is lacking

Miles offense wasn't good enough to win those 2 games.

He would have needed to make changes in order to win.

You mean the offense that was a play away from winning both games just wasnt good enough?
Why isnt this your stance against A&M?

From this very thread:

quote:

RB10: So you think Miles is still the coach at LSU if he's still losing 3-4 games every year as long as the offense throwing for 4,000 yards and 40 TDs?

RogerTheDimwit: Yes

What I asked is "do you think Miles is still the coach at LSU if he's still losing 3-4 games every year as long as the offense throwing for 4,000 yards and 40 TDs"?

Yes

Please Roger, explain how I'm wrong.

The guy can actually be reasonable when he wants to. Just doesn't seem to want to very often. Already told Sammy he's lucky this isn't in person and insuating he would beat him up which is why he got banned on one of the other alters.

That's right. I forgot all about that. He threatened to beat me up if him and I ran into one another in Dallas before the Miami game.

Good times.

I would say he doesn't think Miles would have lost with those numbers and was only answering yes to the hypothetical presented.

I believe it was something along the lines of beating or kicking your teeth down your throat.

we averaged 124 yards passing, 2-2 in those two games, and Brandon had a QBR of 8 in the Wisconsin game.

He answered yes to a direct question asking if 3-4 losses wouldn't matter depending on the offense.

He tried to make the claim that the losses didn't matter, it was the offense. He's now tripped over himself multiple times trying to walk that back.

And shouldn’t I make Sense that our pretty good offense in 2015 would take a step forward in 2016 given the Experience?

I'll admit that I thought Harris was going to do much better in 2016. I was really pulling for him due to him being a local kid and knowing him through family. The light just never came on for him. I think Burrow won't have the same issue. He didn't make the same "unforced errors" that Harris made repeatedly.

Agree to disagree here Rick. Wisconsin scored 16 points.

Unless you're just recruiting terrible QB's and failing to develop them.

We
Would
Not
Have
Lost
Those
Two
Games
If
We
Had
An
Average
Passing
Game.

And? Our offense was beyond anemic.

But...had we squeaked by, and we almost did...no one was firing Miles at 4-0.

I'm honestly not sure why this semantic hill is the one you've decided to die on. No one is arguing the offense was good or did not need change...in fact, that very acceptance is why many of us are unhappy with the willingness to continue to accept much fo the same now. But boring, ineffective offense was a hallmark of Miles' later LSU tenure...what changed was more losses.
