First of all, this ought to be fricking obvious. Who in the holy hell would complain if LSU was running the table each year, but was doing so on only running I-Formation toss dives?
Likewise, what kind of fricking clown would one have to be to be excited about a high powered offense that was racking up losses each year and no hardware?
The issue...the ONLY REAL ISSUE...is that Miles could not get back up over the BAMA hump and was losing an extra game here and there to other teams AND he was doing so with an offense that was driving fans fricking mad. The assumption for all those years was that if only the offense would be more productive, we'd win more.
So...the issue with the offense was that it was assumed to be leading to more losses and fewer wins.
How in the frick is this still not understood?

That's not the part that's ridiculous. He just suggested that if Miles won 4 national championships that he still may have been fired which is ... I don't have the vocabulary to accurately describe how absurd that really is.
