It embarrasses me that this guy is our head coach.

Ed acknowledged that the staff made mistakes, actually the learning curve hasn’t really hurt LSU, I do see them making changes to improve.

Ed didn’t change punt returners for one reason, it was entirely due to Giles never fumbling the ball, but that all changed Saturday.

minus that #1 DT in the country 2 hours from campus. you know, the position which O was hired to coach when he was hired by LSU in January 2015? remember how we heard about how he put 10 DL in the first round of the draft? yet ACE RECRUITER Ed O cant close on him?

I'm no fan of Orgeron, but Sophser has bust written all over him. Dude is lazy as hell.

Things are going in the right direction. Offense has to be addressed but we put up with Miles so it’s only fair give O another year or two to prove he will address it.

Seriously? The coaching staff was stupid in the past, so why not let the new coaching staff be stupid as well. This is one of the dumbest things I've read on here today and there is a lot of stupid shite on here. Congrats.

Looked like they went down swinging, 7 overtimes? GEEZ!
If you call conceding the first down and punting with time left swinging, then yeah.

Les would have done something crazy in that situation.

Also there should have been a change at punt returner, that will be fixed.

It’s bs to act like it was some oversight on his part. O kept Giles back there because he thought Giles wouldn’t turn it over. He was playing it safe, because that’s his M.O.

Now that it failed in a way that hurts the public’s perception of O, O will change it. Never mind that it was limiting the teams performance all year.

He’s not wrong but that comment on punt returner is fricking bull shite. He’s had all year to see it. Why wait until after the damn season is over

the only logical explanation is nobody else on the team is any better. Probably have better runners that cant catch it. Giles caught it well earlier in the year and then got worse. Never was a threat to run it though. I always thought we should be going for blocks every time since he's just fair catching everything anyway.

this...
play to win.
this conservative play calling is on the coach.

now you want to call out the refs?
coach O owns this lose.
we will see if all this game management is addressed and fixed.

That may be true to some extent but 2 times they could have "won" had they had the guts to be aggressive on offense.

Then don't say a change "should have been made." If that's actually what he said. It's not hard, and it's not really coach-speak, to say, "Giles was our best option this season, we're not happy with how punt returns went, we'll look to address that going forward."

Fact is, Giles made a number of fielding mistakes throughout the season but was still back there with few exceptions.

“Coach O....”

Had the ball at the LSU 35 with 2 1/2 minutes to go, ran the ball 3 times, and punted it back to A&M. How many times does conservative play calling have to bite us in the arse before we try something different???

This is the exact same play calling that cost us at least 2 games vs Bama under Miles. The only difference being, under miles we could get a lead and score against Bama in Baton Rouge.

What is this strange fixation you have with prasing the officiating and dumping on LSU all you can? Yesterday you were menstruating about the post game altercation was all LSU's fault.

Agreed. I don't know why Jonathan Giles ever sees the field. It is mind-boggling that he was returning kicks all season

LSU fans are a ranting machine, even if O would have only one loss, there would stil be all this negativity.

That’s total bs just trying to get sympathy for Orgeron. I don’t understand how people can’t see that all he does is placate to the fans who aren’t smart enough to realize he doesn’t know what he’s doing. If you watch and listen to what the complaints are each week by the media and fans, it’s guaranteed that in his next appearance he will have an answer or excuse to every issue being talked about. It’s actually comical.

LSU is 76th is total offense coming off of a game in which they played 7 overtimes and gained nearly 500 yards of offense. Teams such as Tulane, Duke, and Vanderbilt are still ranked ahead of LSU. If you don't think this needs to change, then go find a new school to cheer for. We put up with this ineptitude Miles for a fricking decade. It's just more of the same with the O regime
