And kids are choosing LSU and being steered there by parents over a school like Southern.

You do know that the university is way more than just football, basketball, and baseball.
Yes, Softball, Gymnastics, Track, Beach Volleyball and Tiger Band too!

I have a degree from LSU and could totally care less about LSU academics. (Or about the "Diversity" of the graduating class. )

Just win the SEC West/SEC in all sports and put on an entertaining half-time show at football games......

You are worse than Ree is with O. Just admit you are either related to Jones or work for him.
He was a piece of shite coach at LSU the entire time he worked for the university.
Ron Abernathy, Rick Huckabay and others were the “brains” of those staffs.
Johnny coaches like he played - out of control and his player’s reflected that.
He is a good SWAC coach - maybe. Hell Coach Jobe would coach circles around that guy.

This is so dumb. Don’t you realize that your degree is like a stock and the better LSU does academically, the better and more valuable your degree will be?

I had no idea LSU had this many foreign students? Do we have that many Africans attending LSU or does he mean black students that are really from the USA?

So rolling the ball out on the court and proceeding to just stand there and watch with a blank stare were the only things in his control?

The fact that Dale felt compelled to write this letter tells me that Alexander’s support is eroding.

Nobody can look at the state of LSU over the last five years and think Alexander is doing a good job. He’s done nothing but shite on the school in an effort to try and get more money from the legislature. I don’t disagree that something needs to be done about the constant slashing of higher ed budgets (shutting down a few schools would be a great start), but when you’ve been the president of “the worst house on the nicest block” (as Alexander famously said) for half a decade, you’re at least partially responsible for the lack of progress.

So this is the biggest “accomplishment” he could come up with for King’s time here. Speaks volumes.

Sorry Dale but F. King must go. It just takes a little longer to dump a University President than it does an Athletic Director.
