re: Coach Aranda - Speaking of Coach Orgeron

I'm praising Dave Aranda. He's a hell of a coach, don't you agree? Defensive genius if I've ever seen one.

Give O credit for asking Alleva to give Aranda a blank check when he was already on staff and everyone in the country knew he was the best DC around? Ok, I do.
That tells me nothing about O’s ability to identify and lure a similar talent to run the defense when Aranda decides he’s ready to move up.

What was the alternative? Let him walk, have O hire another one of his buddies?
O knows like everyone in the LSU fanbase knows that this team will go as far as Aranda is able to lead this defense. Without him the entire thing falls apart.

Coach Aranda is THE star of LSU football.
So what happens when Aranda gets his HC offer? Fire Orgeron and keep Aranda, or watch the sole reason this LSU football team is where it is, ride off into the sunset.

Exactly. Most HCs bring in their own OCs and DCs
And Orgeron is respected everywhere for his Defense caoching skills. He knows a good one when he sees one, so he hired Aranda instead of bringing in someone else.

"Rehired"
O knew aranda was the only thing he had going for him...and since alleva knew that as well, they opened up the check book.
Not sure O gets a lot of credit since he doesn't sign the checks

D-line coaching skills, sure.

Les Miles was the one that identified Aranda and brought him to LSU. O didn't have to do anything. Bringing in someone else was not even a consideration. Everyone knows that without Aranda, O doesn't have a job here.
Aranda was his superior up until Miles was fired. Don't know if you knew that or not.

C'mon. Miles didn't "identify" Aranda. He was an OC for 8 years before he came to LSU. Aranda came from Wisconsin to LSU. He was well-known in the coaching fraternity. Coaches with any staying power form a community of under a thousand. If they make it to Power-5 programs, everybody knows everybody.
Miles hired him, then Orgeron hired him - both were smart moves.

Who was the coaching genius last week? Was it Matt Canada?
Don't get me wrong. I support Aranda pretty much like everyone else. And I obviously have great support for Coach Orgeron. But Canada? No. Not so much.

O is the reason Aranda isn’t in college Station. Period

Have you actually ever played the game of football? I don't mean touch football in the backyard or in P.E. class, I mean, real football. The gritty, head-knocking, bloody, bruising, gut-wrenching kind of football? Because if you had you'd know and understand just how ignorant the statement you just made is. There's 28 to 35 players that get on the field and play a game of football. How good those players are is the 'primary' determining factor in a teams wins or loses. You take one player away, and that could be the difference in a win or loss. If O doesn't get Tracy and a less competent kicker tries that FG, then LSU loses. How about taking Joe Burrow away, or Derrick Dillon, Devin White etc. You can't win without good players, and that is the 'primary' reason LSU is 3 and 0 right now; they've had the better players on the field. If LSU had all their defensive players, Auburn may only score 14 points. Aranda is a very good DC, but he has a lot of very good football players on his defense, and those players are the reason he is successful. Those players are the 'primary' reason LSU is 3 and 0. I hope Aranda hangs for a few years, if not, then O goes out and finds a good and competent DC. Aranda isn't the only DC out there that can be just as successful with the kind of talent LSU brings in every recruiting season. And I guarantee you and anybody else that thinks losing one coach will send the LSU program into the gutter, there's not many DC's in all of football coaching that wouldn't love to be coaching at LSU. If Aranda leaves, it's simple, next coach up!!! There's too much talent in the state of Louisiana for any coach to not succeed at LSU. And these coaches know it. Just ask Nick why he wanted to go coach LSU. Because when he was in the NFL he saw all the talent on NFL rosters of players who came out of Louisiana high schools. If you want to be negative about something, at least have a clue what you are talking about.

Why don’t you just come out and “admit” that no matter what Orgeron does it’ll never be good enough.
All he’s done so far is win against heavily favored opponents. LSU could go undefeated through the Alabama game and negative O haters will keep moving the goal posts back.
You’ll never give O his due credit. Cowards

Let’s just all remember it’s a team that win games

Well if Coach O wins a natty before Aranda leaves we will all know where you stand

You are so funny. No matter what good things this team does you can not let go of your hatred for Orgeron.
Your blind obsession is comical.
