Keep in mind nobody was talking about him preseason.

Well that’s not correct. Everyone was talking about him. They were just wondering when he’d be replaced by Emery and TDP

Clyde carried the team that day.

Still kind of mad at Joe for crashing the dudes interview.

That run inside the 10 where Diggs and another defender tried to rip the ball out instead of tackle and Clyde just kept those legs churning and powered his way into the endzone. GOAT

What was really neat to see was after taking a knee to end the game, JB quickly turned & handed the game ball to Clyde . He locked it up with both arms like he was holding the crown jewels as he jogged off the field.

My two favorite RB single game performances are Clyde vs Bama and Hester vs Florida. Both were gutsy as hell and left it all on the field.

Clyde barely takes the #1 spot.

Remember how badly this board shite on him before the season as a guy who could never take that next step? Sure, we all know Burrow's huge progression story but you could argue Clyde took just as big of a step development wise. I'd argue Burrow was already developing showing huge progression the second half of his first year starting. He raked like constant consecutive 300+ yard games at the end of the season.

Just watched clips of the 2019 Bama game and reminiscing. Clyde’s performance may be one of the best, hardest working, tough as nails, LSU single game ever by a player. He was unstoppable in every aspect.

One of the greatest games ever played by a player at any level. He and his father at the end was an amazing moment. Hell, I am a little misty-eyed thinking about it right now. If you have a son you have to get the feels for that moment.

That TD at the end of the first half was a beautifully designed play that was executed to perfection. Man I miss Joe Brady.

JB said that they had put that play ( right before half) in just that week & as soon as he saw the defensive formation, he knew it was a TD.

I distinctly remember the feeling of disbelief looking at my buddies after he caught that. We were dead silent and all thinking "How the hell are we up 20 in Bryant-Denny?"

He was the sole reason that the LSU offensive line got undeserved kudos that year. How many times did CH get the ball and a defender was 3 feet in front of him unblocked, and CEH made him miss the tackle? Even a normal good back would have been tackled and that OL would have been skewered. CEH, plus JB elusiveness in the pocket made that OL appear much much better than they actually were. OL is the biggest area that BK has to improve in a major way for LSU to ever compete for any title again.

That game was not as close as these Bama fans claims it to be.

He was a man that day...and all season.

One of the biggest personnel mysteries is how Brossette kept him on the bench in 2018.
