First, great breakdown. Second, have you noticed our output has skyrocketed on turf? LSU the greatest show on turf. Let's play focused, be patient, catch the ball and move the chains and score TDs.

12 is a S and our best coverage S at that. 8 is by far our best CB and one of the best in the nation. He is 6 1 so not sure how that is short. 5 star coming out of high school. 1 was a 5 star athlete that played WR his freshman year. Y'all certainly will have mismatches tho. We will have to scheme great and tackle well. Our front 4 needs to get pressure.

as i laid out yesterday clemson bltzed all game against OSU and lots were 6 man blitzes. fields missed lots of reads and throws. burrow will not. we will have man on man mismatches all game. osu had them burned with many RB screens. one was dropped that was a TD. clemsons pass game was nothing. contain TL like we did hurts and have a guy stuck up TE's arse all game. those are the two to control.

I'm anticipating a lot of pressure on Burrow

You don't think the UNC tape matters?

You're right. LSU's games on artificial turf @ Texas, @ Vanderbilt and both games at the Atlanta based Mercedes-Benz Dome resulted in record breaking offense output. 45, 66, 37 and 63 points scored and 3 of the highest passing games of the season.

Thanks for clarifying. I assumed 12 was a corner cause he's always over the slot. 8 looks small on tape, kind of surprised you consider him your best cover corner tbh.

He is projected to go in the 2nd round of the draft as a junior lol. He is certainly our best CB.

When you have a fast team, as LSU does, this tends to be the case. Turf provides more sure footing for those guys. I don't think it'll be much of an advantage given Clemson is pretty fast also so it's a wash.

Muse covering the slot is THE weakness for Clemson. Joe will throw at him all day long.

If they run an inverted Tampa 2 LSU will beath them with YAC or intermediate routes in bunch & trip sets. CEH will be matched up one on one with a safety as well. I don't know how good of tacklers their safeties are, but I'd take that matchup all day.

They won't be able to stop any of our RB's. Dobbins was abusing them until the ankle injury.

And for the Clemson fans, that was a catch, fumble, and score. You should consider yourselves lucky to just be here.

They are both having a great year but 8 is wayyyyy better than 1 at this point in their careers. 1 will become a great CB once he learns the position.

They have two weaknesses:

1) They can't generate pressure with four rushers
2) They have no great answers for slot receivers

They will run some zone blitzes and try to disguise them. They mix it up a lot. Not just linebackers but also safeties and corners. Dlinemen frequently drop in coverage. Etc. They will try to trick Burrow post-snap because that's all they got.

AJ Terrell (#8) is their best corner and one of the best in the country. Their other corner (Derion Kendrick #1) is also good. Covering the boundary isn't their problem, it is the slot that is their problem. Too much reliance on 3rd and 4th safeties (e.g., Nolan Turner #24 is a liability) and too much reliance on zone. Clemson MUST play hands-on-man in the slot or we will pick them apart all day.

if they try any cover 2 whether man or zone we will torch them underneath . they will be forced to go cover 1 and they like cover 0 in RZ when blitzing 6. they blitz 6 all game against OSU. let them try that shite on us.

we will counter-adjust them to death. especially with RPOs if burrow has trouble picking up any run blitzes pre snap.

wanna beat us? keep burrow off field. that was UGA's gameplan and only way to win. how did that work out again?? take away all those scotes clemson had on lucky plays coming out the backfield. 3 of theor 4 TD"s came out he backdield NOT downfield passes.

make TL throw downfield drive after drive after drive to beat us consistently. he cannot do it. contain hima and TE and they are screwed. our DB's will do fine on backend like OSU did.
