I worry about all teams. Everyone plays up against LSU. The way this team hits so inconsistently, they can’t take anyone for granted. LSU did play DBU in Feb, won 7-3, I can’t remember who LSU pitched in that game. Different story at the Box.

Anderson or AE will start game one and the other will start game 2. I'm not sure what you're even complaining about. Jay literally showed how he approaches these situations back in 2023. The offense was ELITE and could have won the game with off pitching but he decided to use Skenes for 9 innings. That will be his same approach, let AE or Anderson go deep into the game to save the bullpen for the rest of the Regional.

Dbu will pitch their ace first game, then their second starter against us...once we beat them they will have to throw their third starter in elimination game then come back and beat us twice...in the box, on 4th and 5th starter. Good luck.

Ware, who’s now buried at the bottom of the pen. But I could definitely see Jay saving Anderson to go against them to keep the lefty matchup after the way the struggled to generate any offense against him.

As much as we could throw a mid-week guy and win, you throw your ace to keep them on schedule for the Super Regional. You can say what you want about thinking ahead, but you have to when it comes to pitching. Fortunately, have 2 aces so one or the other is going Friday and Saturday. We will be fine. You just hope they each go 7+ to save the pen for Sunday and (if necessary) Monday.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but didn’t LSU beat DBU 7-3 earlier in the season? I get that every baseball game is different, but why are some on this board so afraid of DBU?

It's definitely possible since Jay's reasoning for pitching them both in Game 1 in Hoover was to have the choice on who to pitch Game 1 of the Regional.

I know you have the stats laid out, but they really didnt beat anybody really impressive.
They went 7-4 in Q1 games. 3 of those were wins at Jacksonville St who they then lost 2/3 to in the Conference tournament. They split some midweek games with Power conference opponents. Lost 2/3 to WKU.
Their two toughest series UTSA and WKU were at home and their signature win was probably on the "road" at TCU? And TCU platooned that game with some bullpen guys.
We held them to 3 hits with Ware pitching, Williams not recording an out and walking two, and Cowan/Evans finishing it up.

They beat the shite out of OU. Now OU was likely pitching mid week guys in those two games, but a combined 19-1 is doing some damage.
