Why was she thrown out? And got to stay in the dugout?

Not that it matters now, but I wonder if she would have missed a super regional game?

She was thrown out for chirping at the umpire while running the bases not once but twice.

Yes. I think being ejected cost you the next game.

And also pointed directly at him. She was also warned by the umpiring crew when she did the same thing earlier in the game. She has to be smarter than that.

After popping up it looked like she turned and yelled at the ump. This was after having words with them already.

the ump said one of the pitches hit her bat and called it a strike, even though it didnt.

Didn't affect her AB that much, she still popped out. And then talked shite to him

Maybe she should have directed her energy into getting out of her massive slump and not blaming the ump

I thought it was because she squared to bunt and pulled back at the last second on a ball high and in, but they said she didn't pull back and called a strike for the attempt.

Ejected players generally don't have to leave the dugout.

Ump was trash but they will always win in an argument. Leave the yelling for the coaches. She has to be smarter... she was even warned and still did it.

Amen to that. This team was way to timid. My biggest criticism was the team had no “GAS”

And you know that how? They battled back from a large deficit to take the lead. Both losses were flukey. Two good teams things broke the other way .

Were we out of challenges?

..because that was definitely a wild pitch (or hit batter). No where close to hitting the bat and being called a foul.

if we had 10 georgia clarks on the team, they'd play like they gave a shite all the time.

I assumed that it hit the end of the bat for a foul ball. It could have only been a strike if it hit her in the hand(s) if she was swinging. It appeared to me that she did a check swing but had stopped at about the same time the ball hit her or the bat. It seemed confusing to me from the standpoint of overturnig a call. But thats part of the game. Congrats to ULL on their victory.

"just to clarify for everyone. this umpire was the third debase umpire in the first game and he was the second base umpire in second game. on my home run knowing I probably wouldn’t get a chance to tell him I said “you made the right call” from the game before. give athletes grace"
