Giving up 60 worries me....a lot. Regardless of what your personnel is. I still think Mattison, Shoop and Vennables are your best options.

Fsu just gave up 59 to Oregon in a playoff game. Should they fire their DC?

Well, I know Les has reached out to him twice. The first time on Monday, but I'm not sure when the 2nd time happened. I was told Les has reservations about him recruiting the SEC, but if he's comfortable with it I like it a lot more than some of the other names out there.

As I'm told, he's planning on meeting with Steele. And there's also an interest in meeting with Venables and Roof.

I wouldnt be upset at all with Shoop or Vennables. Shoop's specialty is the secondary...so not sure what we do about linebackers.

Steele isn't leaving Bama anytime soon.

They should meet with as many people as possible. No doubt about that.

He may be trying to hire steel for lb coach. Chief coached linebackers so we need someone.

It's a legit concern dude.... CP may be your guy - he may end up being all of our guy - but you can't ignore letting offense's hanging 50 and 60 on you a couple times each year.

That happens once in TS and it will be a hellstorm.

It's a concern but not a deal breaker. I'd be okay with cp, shoon, venables and probably several others who we haven't heard about yet

you have some courage to go against everyone on the rant who is apparently the savior of our defense.

I agree it's a concern but our talent is way higher than it was at Cal and USC when he was there. Maybe he will have some break downs but I still think he is the best.

They didn't look great by any means. Firing someone over a game is different than looking at a potential candidate.

lol... thanks courage, stupidity, pearls before swine, whatever it is... just an honest conversation.

There's really only two things that REALLY bother me about CP. #1 is the high scoring 40+ point games against him and #2 is the regression of his defense at Cal.

Talent & outside factors aside neither of those can be viewed as positives.

Easily solved by bringing Orgeron on board at the same time after a staff reshuffle.

Also the style of play in the PAC contributes to some of those big numbers being hung up on him in single games. Unless A&M is going to drastically change the mindset of their offense, and their program in general, it's going to happen to Chavis over there also.

That entire team and program regressed....not sure how we are blaming CP for that?

If the bring in O and keep Brick, can they move Ensminger to an admin position and have Henry coach WRs and TEs?

because he's responsible for half of the team and he was there for 3 years recruiting and helping build it.

Why does everyone act like all these things are independent of one another?

That is a possibility...not sure how likely though.

I guess all of these NFL teams are using him as a consultant because he sucks?

Lsu has regressed the last 4 years. We should have fired Chavis!
