admit it, you've been dying to use that gif....

now maybe you can find a situation where it would actually apply to the conversation.

It was CP fault that kiffin failed at USC!! He posted the top d in the conference under scholarship sanctions but still caused lane to be fired

again, I was on the CP bandwagon and couldn't understand why LSU didn't jump on it immediately. Now I do. Please feel free to convince me otherwise if you desire to do so.

Looks like they have jumped on him immediately and we don't know shite about what smart knows. He's had opportunities to leave and he hasn't. Is it because he don't think he's ready? Who knows but I would rather take a chance on pendergast than smart at this point

Well he started coaching there 5 years ago, so yeah they are kind of relevant to the evaluation. If nothing else look at he W-L record of Cal, notice how all the L's are during Clancy's tenure?

I'm guessing you're probably 20 years old, but Cal was actaully pretty damn strong team pre-2010.

I was responding to the question Apex Tiger asked me "who my guy was?" without quoting his question in my post.

He did hold #1 Oregon to 16 points in a tough home loss though.

One of those TDs was a punt return, the other was a one play 29 yard drive following a Cal fumble.

Oregon averaged 47 points per game, 50 not including that one, and he allowed them 7 on a 29 yard drive.

MOT - that game seemed to be one of his signature games at Cal, even though they had to take the L. His future ventures against them were not so kind.

All I care about is if CP can stop a game winning drive with time running out

CP coached the #1 overall defense in the Pac-12 3 of 4 years he was in that league. Lane got fired 4 games in to 2013. CP had nothing to do with it.

kirby smart is a 3-4 DC who is looking at BCS jobs. he is making a buttload, too

why would he take a lateral position at an inferior school with personnel that doesn't fit his system?
