If he is saying that Rattler is the best, I don't know that I disagree. An argument could be made for either. Nobody else really jumps out at me.

He had Weigman as #1 until he was hurt. Guy just doesn’t like LSU and pays for it constantly.

Pretty sure he was one of the very few analysts that picked LSU to beat Bama in preseason 2019.

Rattler is the only other one in the conversation at this point.

He’s balling behind a terrible line and a below average roster. Certainly deserves some credit for that.

The majority of this stupid forum doesn't believe JD is the best QB on LSU's roster.

Wow rally. JD gets an F for reading defenses. It gets better from there, pocket presence deep ball accuracy is so so. In my opinion he should run the ball more 4-6 times per game.

I’m not sure id consider it a serious flaw for the college game. I mean the only thing you could be talking about is deep ball accuracy . His decision making is elite

The lack of an above average deep ball is definitely a serious flaw. I'd also argue he can be, at times, ultra conservative. JD is hit or miss. The games where he is on, he legit looks like a Heisman, #1 overall candidate. The games where he's off, it's maddening to watch the offense just sputter to a halt.

There is an argument to be made for KJ Jefferson when you compare the supporting cast each QB has at their disposal.

Well he sure made our defense look dumb as hell.

I do think he will be the best overall QB we face all season. He’s a playmaker.

I mean it's not hands down that JD is the best QB. This isn't prime Joe Burrow, he still has some pretty serious flaws.

Not sure anyone was saying he didn’t have flaws. So does every QB in the SEC this year.

I don't know who Doering said, and don't really care all that much to be honest, but even if you think Daniels is the best in the league there are legit arguments to be made for other guys. So saying Daniels is second best isn't a slight, it's still a compliment.

Since when does the Rant have reasoned arguments or valid points?

spencer rattler.

He is actually pretty close in passing yards against a more difficult schedule to date, but he is much further back in TD passes.

Regardless Rattler is doing much better than I expected. I thought he would very sporadic with a lot of incredible plays and a lot of horrible wtf plays. Maybe he is maturing some or maybe it’s just early in the season.
