There is an argument to be made for KJ Jefferson when you compare the supporting cast each QB has at their disposal.
I don't know who Doering said, and don't really care all that much to be honest, but even if you think Daniels is the best in the league there are legit arguments to be made for other guys. So saying Daniels is second best isn't a slight, it's still a compliment.

I mean it's not hands down that JD is the best QB. This isn't prime Joe Burrow, he still has some pretty serious flaws.
