He's the same with football. People complained about Hawthorne making mistakes, but it was because he was calling it as it happened. Blair doesn't make as many mistakes because he's always seconds behind the play.

Hawthorne is in bad shape. Jim is 81 years old and can barely talk.

Great piece of hitting for Alex. Just a professional at bat.

I want Chris Blair's job ; i could do it i promise!

Blair is great if you want to know what actually happened. If you’re cool with a guy calling a ball out at the track that didn’t leave the infield, then Hawthorne is your guy.

He has always been bad. Does not describe what’s going on in baseball. It’s like he thinks everybody is watching it

I agree that Blair is awful. I wish he had the passion and enthusiasm of Hawthorne.

Happens all the time. Been that way since he started and hoped it would improve but I think it's gotten worse. I turned it off driving home from work eventually just checking the game thread instead.
Also he still says base pads instead of basepaths.
Good voice but not good in calling baseball.
I like Hunt and Franques personally. Baseball nerds who always learn me sumthin but moreso they're immersed into each game.

Are we talking about Jim Hawthorne or your boyfriend? This might need to be moved to the Aggie board.

You mean the bitchiness and anger of a fan.

When the other team scores or does something relevant, you can’t really tell until way after the fact. The South Carolina Homer game call is actually much easier to listen to.

Franques ….Mr. LSU Baseball ? Lol

Hawthorne was worse. You never knew the score or who was on base. There was never a reset to let the audience know what was going on. Then there was the constant bitching about the time. The man wanted it to end faster than a basketball game.

Baseball should be Hanny and Hunt on radio.
They're both super straight forward with some dry humor and a ridiculous amount of knowledge. Perfect baseball announcers.

He is awful. I never know what is going on.

Blair peaked at GSU and UF, parlaying that into a SEC job based on a highlight

Horrible announcer all the way around. Baseball putrid.

Never happened this place is like a bunch of over dramatic women.
