Maryland should hire Brian Kelly

If needed, I can send a letter of recommendation to the powers that be at MD.

Yes. And encourage them to pay BK a LARGE sum of money. He will certainly be in high demand and they don't want to fall behind in getting their man. I think $10M per year should lock him up.

Kelly would fit in there so well. He’s such an east coaster.

whatever happened to Matt McMahon?
usually former coaches find something pretty quick
he could be an assistant somewhere or a tv gig

He's pretty comfy with $8 meeeellion buyout over the next three years. No need to rush.
He's a nice guy but. in what world does he have the personality to land a TV gig?

Why send them ED O? Keep him here at LSU where everyone loves him and let him earn the 100k a year if he keeps choosing to do so.

He was a pretty good OC. He was the OC for Illinois when they had Juice Williams/Rashard Mendenhall, upset OSU and made the Rose Bowl. Also for Bama under Saban after Kiffin/Sark left and the offenses were still humming under him.

So idk if he'd settle for an analyst job, I have a feeling he'll be getting OC offers elsewhere. Him and Kiffin did work together at Bama so maybe if Weis leaves I could see that happen. If Weis is staying though I don't see him coming here.

He'll land a WR coach job at a power program making $1 million+ /yr

Yep because bringing back Bo Pelini worked out so well for LSU

LSU never had consistent high level LB play since the mid 80’s as they did with Diamond Dave.

LSU doesn't need to be hiring any "Fired" coaches.

They were fired for a reason.

I would be ok with Boom or Venables as DC should they become available.

There are coaches that get fired in one role but that does not mean they're no longer fit for any role.

Heck, CLK has some firings on his resume.

We had great LB play under Chief. Guy was a fantastic LB position coach.

Bring him on as an analyst only. That would work.

We're gonna need an OC eventually. Gonna be nice to have hom and Sark on Kiffin's coaching rehab team.

I think he finishes 7-5 or 8-4 for Baylor this year. He's sitting at 4-2 right now. He'll be at Baylor another year.

People are forgetting, who the frick would want to go to Baylor? Who are they replacing him with?

People forget how absolutely horrible that program was before RG3. And Waco sucks. It's tough to get kids to want to go there.

Was just thinking to myself: Not one person naming Will Stein as a candidate for a bigger job. Yeah he’s from Louisville but still. He’s got a bright future. (Not saying Maryland is better job)
