If you're talking trash to your buddies, it's all in fun. But trash talking strangers about a natural disaster is just being an a-hole.

I understand it was a debating event. We had 6 feet of water in our house. It's also a college fraternity leading up to one of the biggest weekends in college football. I wouldn't expect any less. It's just trash talk. Someone is always going to be offended by something. Just settle it on the field.

I don't particularly care about the sign. But I'm saying that there are tens of thousands of people who actually suffered through Katrina. Several died.

Making light of tragedies is a cornerstone of comedy and, if it were funny, I wouldn't have a problem with it. But it's not. It's not even clever.

So all that's left is them being douchebag attention-seekers who are dumb enough to give the best player in the country even more motivation.

Laughed at the angst it caused and then laughed at the retaliation. College football makes people a little crazy. Thats why we love it so.

Not offended. By the way just saw on the weather channel that the category 5 Hurricane Fournette has made landfall in Alabama and is headed towards Tuscaloosa.
