I wish someone would ask him to justify his close to 200k salary.

I'd like to see his "contract" with China.

LSU doesn't use funds to pay a Coach nor the buyouts.
TAF handles most of the salary.
This guy is grandstanding and an idiot
LSU, LSU Athletic Dept, and TAF are all non-profits for tax purposes. This is what he wants to investigate. Non-profits have different tax laws when it comes to paying employees, particularly top executives.
I'm not in any way suggesting LSU is doing anything wrong. I'm just saying what this yahoo is basing his "investigation" on.
Just as a point of reference the NFL home office is a non-profit. They pay Goodell $62 million a year.
Does the term "witch hunt" come to mind?

1. This guy is jealous because Rutgers can't afford a decent coach.
2. I can't wait to hear what Senator Kennedy has to say about this. Should be some good commentary from him.

You don't think it was because this idiot just went after the two schools that paid the most for a new coach?
Nah, definitely race.

So how do LA’s representatives and Senators plan to respond? What about the governor? No response?
When a hack politician from New Jersey shoots his mouth off about a matter like this, he's only trying to get headlines and sound bites on the 6 o'clock news. Responding just keeps him alive for another news cycle. Ignoring him us exactly the right thing to do.

wonder what’s different.??
LSU and USC hired big time playoff coaches away from two other blue blood storied program. They other two schools have their existing coaches raises and extensions to keep them off the market. Does that help?

Libs screw up everything good. (see NFL/NBA)

Or Saban at Alabama. He’s been the highest paid for awhile now. Why no concern before now?
Posted on 12/18/21 at 10:18 am to hondo
Yep, we in LA- race 1st always.
Posted on 12/18/21 at 10:25 am to hondo
The LSU and USC situation involved buyouts. Which was also stated in the letter.
It’s about the money and at least in LSUs case, it’s none of their damn business.

The voters are in charge of your state....... So yea, upon additional consideration, you got it right.
I can still recall the signs of the looming abomination in Louisiana yards, "Republicans for Edwards."

There wasn’t a high profile black coach that left a secure, winning program for a new job and more money. You jumping to conclusions about this maybe says a lil something something.
You're an idiot.

Not just to justify his salary but how do his colleagues manage to have sometimes three different $1M+ residences on such a salary. We all understand it would be easy to do so by selling influence and taking money under the table to support their lavish lifestyle but how do true "public servants" such as themselves manage to pull off something like that? If they are that good with their money it seems like they could do something about the $30T debt and perhaps balance a budget every once in awhile.

The problem is the hack politician sent a letter of enquiry from the House Ways and Means committee. I doubt the university can simply not answer. It needs its Congressional representatives to step in.

I like how now it's totally NOT about race here, but when it benefits a race baiting narrative (i.e. muh pOlICe bRutAlItY), it's totally about race.
It seems to me that the inquiry is about money (grandstanding aside), but that senator is also not allowed to inquire about the black coaches or he'll be canceled.
