USC and LSU are in different conferences. Check the pigment of the coaches in question

New Jersey rep is a fruit cake. He should stay in his lane. He’s knocking on the wrong doors.

Wrong again. USC and LSU “stole” coaches. Tucker and Franklin were just extended.

So how do LA’s representatives and Senators plan to respond? What about the governor? No response?

There wasn’t a high profile black coach that left a secure, winning program for a new job and more money. You jumping to conclusions about this maybe says a lil something something.

It’s not about stealing coaches. It’s the $$ amount of their contracts. The point of the post was USC and LSU are being called out for lucrative contracts to 2 guys that look different Than the 2 guys at Penn St. and Michigan St.

LSU doesn't use funds to pay a Coach nor the buyouts.

TAF handles most of the salary.

This guy is grandstanding and an idiot

Oh jeez.

You don't think it was because this idiot just went after the two schools that paid the most for a new coach?

Nah, definitely race.

He should send a letter to Disney/ESPN or FOX to inquire about the ridiculous broadcasting deals they're making with conferences, which are helping schools offer these lucrative contracts to coaches.

Eh, Kelly basically got the same deal as Tucker, despite Kelly's accomplishments being in a different universe compared to Tucker's.

Yet Tucker's extension was applauded by the media, while they called Kelly a "bad fit", and melted about a fake Southern accent. Why?

Again, this is a dude who clearly doesn't follow football but just saw two high profile schools bring in new coaches and went after them.

Not everything is race.

I agree that not everything is race.

But some ignorant politician from New Jersey wouldn't have singled out Kelly and Riley without some influence from the media.

He may have sent letters to MSU and PSU too if those deals had been equally ridiculed. But they weren't.

Absolutely zero chance of a rep from New Jersey who doesn’t follow football (your words) having any idea who coaches college football for anyone except Rutgers.

Actually, the NJ Rep has opened the door for Woodward to explain why LSU has 1 of only 3 Athletic Departments that runs in the black year in and year out and how much money the AD donates to the academic side each year. Then they can highlight rising enrollment, when the football team has a good year and how much attention that brings to the academic missions of the university
