Why would LSU decline a bowl bid? Its money in the bank.

more practices and conditioning

This, plus exposure, are the reasons. Money has nothing to do with it. The bowl LSU is going to at this point will not be a money maker. We will be lucky to break even.

There is absolutely no reason not to play in a bowl game.

The money is pooled/shared with the conference - which is another reason why we probably can't decline it under ordinary circumstances - it would be the height of ingratitude to not go do our fair share.

ZERO! This is a stupid idea. We lose 20 free practices for the next years players. This is a benefit no matter who the coach is next year. STUPID!!

I highly doubt the SEC would allow them to decline a bowl bid.

0% chance.

The extra practices that come with a bowl are very important. Not to mention that it would be incredibly shitty to deny the seniors one more chance to play in a bowl.

And who knows, maybe we'll actually get lucky and end up facing an interesting opponent in whatever bowl we end up in.

No chance. We dont need to turn down a million dollars for no good reason.
