How awesome was his performance!

Any update on how he's doing now?

I remember the Texas fans making fun of him on their message boards when he ran out. They stopped laughing when he started throwing strikes.

Not at Hess' level, but he threw strikes. Great middle reliever.

I was talking about that at the game last week, watching Hess it triggered my memory of the "Dreadlocks of Doom". He was a monster closer.

They kept showing his glare during the championship series. Kept making comments about how this is the guy you definitely don't charge the mound on.

He's not doing great. A friend of mine works for the law firm representing him in his case against RTA for his accident

I forget the exact line but my favorite was along the line of...we teed off on their starter and now, we're being shut down by the guy from Cool Runnings.

Hoping Hess can channel his inner Chad Jones and bring the STINK!

Had dinner with Chads mother and his aunt at Rosenblatt the night of game 3. Nice people. Dreadlocks of doom

I remember the Texas base runner backing down when he saw Chad headed for first with the ball...the Texas guy knew he would be destroyed...

I need to find a video of the whole inning. It was one of the GOAT CWS moments. We were down on our luck just before that and Chad helped a rally to eventually take the lead.

Right after he left LSU he was living down the street from me in Lakeview. Id see his Rover with the chromes in the driveway. One day I was passing down the street and I saw his truck in his driveway all fricked up. I thought, "uh oh. That cant be good". Later on that day I turned on the news and heard what happened. He was later waived by the Giants and his pro career was over.

Really sad what happened to him. Im not sure he ever got to enjoy much of the fruits of his natural gifts.
