He was then asked about Clemson. He said, “their schedule is different”. WTF does “different” mean?

Good chance Cincinnati and Wisconsin both add losses to their column this weekend. No way a cincy team losing to Memphis two weeks in a row should remain in top 25. Wisconsin should fall like a rock also.

The point is they’re using two different grading metrics for BOTH teams. They keep Clemson lN, based on history and style in recent wins —- not their schedule. Yet, OSU’s “strong schedule” is being CREATED post-season....so they can stay #1

Meanwhile, the absolute legitimate BEST schedule is LSU, and the CFP is trying to “recreate” that....by maneuvering LSU’s opponents records in the rankings.

And I thought professional boxing was rigged.......wow!

none of these teams can beat Alabama

UF would beat most of them

Auburn would beat most of them

Texas would beat Cinci
A&M would beat Cinci and probably Michigan

Bama fatigue is now officially Clemson fatigue. Tired of their act.

Guarantee Wisconsin falls just below Auburn and Cincy stays in top 25 when they both lose.

Bama would be double digits favorites over all four. Auburn would be favored over all four. As would Florida and Georgia.

It's comical, but expected. They HAVE to justify their selection and think no one will catch on. Lol

Good breakdown. Its complete bullshite what they are doing & their justifications for it are a slap in the face to every college football fan out there.

If you simply compare the CFP rankings to the AP and Coaches it's clear that they overvalued nearly all Big10 teams by a couple of spots on average. What's really telling is that they didn't overvalue Minnesota (the one team Ohio St didn't play) and they bumped Cincy up 1 to get them into the top 20, thus allowing them to now use the strength of schedule argument. They also undervalued Bama and Florida by about the same amount, devaluing LSU's strength of schedule. Under AP/Coaches, LSU has 2 wins over top 10 teams and Ohio State only has 1 (Wisconsin at 10). Under CFP Ohio State has 2 and LSU only has 1 (Florida).

Team CFP AP Coaches
Wisconsin 8 10 10
Penn State 10 12 11
Florida 9 7 7
Auburn 11 11 12
Bama 12 9 9
Michigan 14 17 18
Cincy 20 21 21

what are you talking about? Clemson is at 3 because they're undefeated in a power 5 conf.

Replace them with Baylor and they'd be in the same spot

Like it or not, Ohio State has wins over currently ranked...

8 - wisky
10 - Penn st
14 - Michigan
20 - cincy

They think that's better than LSUs...

9 - UF
11 - auburn
12 - bama

Its really not that far fetched. The two should be interchangable

Eta - if we beat 4 UGA then it wouldn't make much sense to keep us at 2. Then you'd have a really good argument

If OSU wins big, Wiscy falls more than if the game’s close. A strange twist but true.

Will be interesting what the committee does when Wisky, Utah and Baylor lose, where they are placed in the final rankings. Florida, Auburn and Alabama should get a decent bump. Unless the fix is already in and they say Wisky losing to OSU is a good loss and don’t drop them. LSU would then have 4 wins vs top -0 teams. How would they shape that to benefit OSU when Cincy loses again to Memphis and Wisky loses AGAIN to OSU.
