9. Jayden Daniels
Jayden Daniels played well for LSU last season, and while I considered ranking him higher, some believe there's a chance -- slim as it may be -- that Daniels won't be LSU's starter come the fall. Maybe that'll be the case, but if LSU starts the year ranked in the top 10 and viewed as a playoff contender, Daniels' 2022 performance will be a big reason why. He has to be included here.

Daniels will be the starter and he will flourish this year. Nuss waits his turn and will ball out the following year

Hopefully no more 80 yard games.

You're going to see more of that because of NIL

he will flourish when he can make reads on a defense quickly. From what i’ve seen he’s a one read qb who runs when it’s not there. Did he finally learn this in his 5th offseason? Guess we’ll find out

Yet we sure af don’t beat Bama without him. I love all the couch coaches who think they know a frickinh thing about playing QB in the SEC.

After that how’d he do against Arky or A&M?

I feel like Nix has been playing college ball since the 90s.

He was sick against Arky and we won, so who gives a frick? A&M was much more of a defensive problem.

So nothing about Bama then, huh? Doesn’t fit the narrative so we’re just gonna mentally skip over that one?

Sick af against Arky so that’s irrelevant
Against A&M the defense couldn’t stop a nosebleed and he played respectable. 21/35 189 yards and 84 rushing yards. We simply ran out of depth. Jesus you people are tards.

Good game against Bama. What about that Auburn team that was down this year? Oh that was another 80 yard Heisman performance.

Look he should start and I hope he improves but let’s not act like he carried the team all last year.

He struggled some. We won. Daniels is a flawed qb who showed a lot more good than bad last year. Not sure why more people aren't excited based on his successes. Instead they're hung up on his far fewer failures.

I like the optimism and pulling for Daniels.
Buuuuuttttt. If we get into game 3-4 and he still can’t read the field as needed to beat the good teams we have to give Nuss a shot again.
No need ruining the whole season trying to figure out what he should be doing this off-season and using this past season for confidence to do so.

And hopefully he’ll throw less than 3 interceptions in his 14 starts at LSU, quit pitting our QBs against each other. It’s a great spot to be in JD5 last year, Nuss 2-3 years, Hurley next up. This, until Nuss makes a mistake and the Rant turns on him , bitches about losing Howard and anoints Hurley as the savior. It must be miserable for some to root against your own to hopefully prove a point. To who by the way?

I would’ve liked our odds with Nuss at qb. Bama wasn’t very good last year

11-2 top 5 finish but what the fuvk ever. I hate Bama and all they stand for but they were a good team. Lemme ask you this, does Nuss make that run in OT for the score?
