Expecting Daniels to have a meteoric jump in his passing over one offseason with the same coaches and receivers is optimistic.

I can recall when we were begging for QB play remotely close to what Daniels gave us last year.

Why do you think Daniels hasn’t developed? He definitely looked sharp in the spring game. More room for improvement certainly, but Kelly has given us no reason to doubt him.

Good gawd. What do you want him to say. "Our starting QB sucks and has regressed"?!? Its the off season. Take everything as coach speak. Some "fans" just want to be completely miserable.

Dude, we have the best QB duo in the country. JD is plenty capable. STFU.

Does this not tell you then that he truly believes what he is saying?

Brian Kelly has seen a lot of football and a lot of QB’s develop. I trust what he is saying is legit.

The shite talking and hate for Daniels makes absolute zero sense.

What else would you expect him to say? “You know we feel as though JD has hit his ceiling here at LSU. He hasn’t improved one bit. We will start him against FSU but we fully anticipate pulling him very early in that game. It is what it is.” Can we at least get one meaningful snap before this discussion ( which will take place ad naseum all season) begins?

I'm going to have to come up with a dumbass football take to keep up. I don't think my Skenes is our 3rd starter take will work during football season.

For Daniels. He has said (most recently with Finebaum) that Daniels “has developed”. If JD goes out and plays about the same as last year how far does CBK fall in your eyes?

This is coach speak, even if it is true. There is no real way to know if Daniels will pull the trigger in a game until he is in a real game.

Why would any coach do that? How would it benefit his team? Plus he is not only showing Daniels his confidence but also his expectations.

If Daniels does not perform any different than last year and this drops BK in your eyes, then you were just looking for an excuse.

ETA: I had not watched the clip prior to commenting because I figured this was typical tRant overreach to a comment made by a coach. Now that I have seen it I realize this is not the typical tRant overreach but so much worse. Kelly said in passing when discussing the team's improvement over last year that "we have a QB that has developed". This just solidifies my opinion that you are simply looking for an excuse.

This is so understated compared to what he said earlier in the year. He literally said “he might be one of the best QBs in the country”

I honestly don’t care how Daniels plays. As long as the Tigers win, I don’t care who is throwing the ball.

This has to be a troll or just an extremely terrible take. What’s BK supposed to say on Finebaum other than what he said?
