Hardcore football fans know LSU has as many or more resources to win as compared to anybody else and should expect more than we've been getting.

BOOM - Thank you ! Been saying this for years. Not one sunshine pumper that I knew that went to the last game to support Miles paid one cent for tickets. Everyone I knew got free tickets cause no one wanted them. They usually don't even go to games actually or name 3 players on the team.

Very well said. Too bad you're preaching to a loser with 40,000+ posts on a message board who needs to make himself feel better about his shitty life by acting like he's better than others because he doesn't care about LSU football.

IMO, it all comes down to entertainment value for me. I love sports and I love watching the extreme skill and athleticism showcased by our players. It's human nature to enjoy watching people who are bigger, faster, and stronger show it off, and it has been since the beginning of human civilization. Les Miles is, at the very least, squandering our talent and making something which is almost impossible to make boring, incredibly boring. Les Miles football is so painfully boring when I pay good money to be entertained by our athletes. He's literally turned a fireworks show into an antiquated chess match which he operates in a fashion that wins games so he can keep his job and keep collecting paychecks. Not that the "you should be happy to have Les Miles" crowd would understand that

Really? What exactly did you dumazzes win? Win what? A pissing contest that you claim is irrelevant anyway. Tell me what you won. A set of ginsu knives? Maybe a nice warm Snuggy? Ecactly what did you win?

Hardcore fans are the problem? You mean the ones who want to see LSU athletics be the best they can be? Yea, they're the problem.

I'd say the whole west side of the stadium are casual fans. They leave in the second quarter.

I am not so sure this is cut and dry like you say it is

It is.

The gap is huge.

RickDaddy posted a very solid chart yesterday that was ignored that showed the gap in talent between LSU and Bama. It was ridic.

LSU does a great job of developing the talent to achieve in the NFL.

These two items I stated above will not go over well here or with the OP.

I think they fill needs better than we do...which makes for a more complete team.

It has everything to do with depth. Again, go check out RickDaddy's chart.

Can you honestly tell me that we have looked like a week coached team these last couple of years?

Is there a bigger talent gap b/w Bama and Ole Miss or Bama and LSU?

Ok.

Why don't you give me your perspective on our line play on both sides of the ball over the last 3 years, and Les' instance on trying to win games the same way he did before the clock rules were changed in 2008.

I don't know what the clock changing has to do with Les's style. The changes actually shortened the games which is his goal and he has won a lot of games since then including the greatest regular season in LSU history.

Line talk might get long.

Our line play on offense has not been as good since 2011. That line while probably not as talented as any of the lines since was filled with deep experienced upper classmen. Since then the o-line has been talented but have not been as experienced, with the early departures to the draft, which is key in o-line play. Next year if Pocic and Hawkins come back your o-line will be as deep as its been since 2011 with more NFL talent on it.

D-line is a product of Chavis's scheme. He liked smaller faster d-lines which were fantastic in stopping spread teams but struggle against power running teams. Arky game the last two years is a prime example of the small d-line being a detriment while A&M is why it can be good.

Your definition is totally wrong. Casual fans are the ones that expect the team to win all the time or they leave. Hardcore fans are the ones that stay with the team through thick or thin.
