Ok, this one is gonna sting a bit. Surely they want to be coached by someone other than Davis...even if they love him.

Is going to sting? He was highly recruited but his play was a mixed bag. Is it possible that he was processed? I am going take the wait and see approach.

Damn hope we can entice him to return with NIL funds.

If the offer before the portal wasn't enough to keep him, then after the portal funds won't be there.

The portal is ruining CFB. Don't care about the NIL, thats manageable. Coaches simply cannot control rosters with the ridiculous leave when you want and be immediately eligible nonsense.

Curne won’t be the last. I expect many of our offensive guys to test the portal and try to get paid
unfortunately this is what college football has become. Paid mercenaries up for sale every year.

College football is broken.

Word is he’s going to Arkansas to be closer to his infant son.

I’ll get downvoted but if that’s true, I can’t fault him for wanting to be a good dad. If that’s incorrect info, then this is a dumb move.

The all universe freshman that either had a pre snap penalty or got absolutely blown past several times a game. Yep, won’t miss him. See ya never dude!

Does he have a son? I think the infant he's holding on one of his Instagram is his nephew.

eta: And his hometown is ~5 hours away from Fayetteville. If he's transferring to be closer to home, then he's headed to Ole Miss.

This was a true freshman and he was being asked to play out of position against some very good DLs. AND, all he had for an OL coach was Brad Davis.
I cannot tell much about what kind of talent this kid might have been at the right position, with decent coaching, a decent scheme and a little experience..

It’s time to burn down the oline room and start from scratch. Lots of recruiting stars in that room but zero stud players.

Bingo! They put what they are on film & wasn't good!

Same, I used to lose my mind. Now, could not care less.
And really now more than ever, it doesn’t even matter. In this era of football, everyone is essentially in a 1 YR. contract and then they’re in Free Agency if they want to be. We have been the benefactor of this circus era of college football anyways. Lane just got some extra cap space to go buy someone else for a year. Maybe even someone that is proven and is not just someone that will potentially be good.
This era of college football is a joke

Why the hell do y'all act so surprised with the millions of dollars floating around. These kids have just one thing on their mind, MONEY! Y'all gotta get used to the idea college football is never gonna be what we want it to be. Those days are over.
