Tulane never seriously considered him they interviewed him as a courtesy to those who wanted him. All reports were that he wanted the job badly and was insulted by the courtesy interview.

Show me those reports that it was a courtesy interview

Exactly what I heard, from several Greenie friends. It was nothing but a courtesy interview & he was insulted by it.

I think I follow Tulane a lot closer than you and probably your buddies too. I’ve not once heard that he was brought in for a courtesy interview

That's great. Gives him a few years to reshape his image, then he can take over for Pat Casey at LSU.

He could've wanted the job badly and it still could've been a courtesy interview

No shite.
No reliable reports have ever said that it was a courtesy interview

So you're expecting a "report" from a Tulane official saying that AC was only given a courtesy interview as proof we are right? A paper report? Either way, he was not offered the job & he was not hired.

Drizz literally said “ All reports were that he wanted the job badly and was insulted by the courtesy interview”
I’m not expecting reports from a Tulane official but a college baseball writer or local guy with some sources. Not your buddies that watch the occasional Tulane game.
You’re correct, he was not offered the job. Doesn’t mean it was a courtesy interview

I misspoke on the reports that it was a courtesy. The courtesy interview stories were widely discussed amongst Tulane people, baseball alumni, mentioned by local talking heads.

I saw Jones JC changed head coaches. You got any scoop on that?

You have to realize who you are talking to here. LSU may have the most knowledgeable baseball fans in the world, but they don't exist on tigerdroppings for damn sure.

As soon as one person says something on the rant that they WANT to believe, then it automatically becomes absolute fact that gets passed around. As soon as one idiot buys it, the rest of them do, simply because it's something they want to believe.

On the flip side, tell them something that they don't want to hear, but is factual, and they will lose their shite (this post will be one of those things).

So, continue arguing with them if you wish, just know that rant logic isn't the same as normal logic, and the combined IQ of the people who you'll argue with is probably less than 30.

As a member of both the Cardinals and LSU fanbases, I can say, unequivocally, that they are essentially the Spiderman pointing meme of fanbases.

Both have overinflated senses of self worth regarding their knowledge of the game and how they treat opponents. And both are filled to the brim with absolute morons who don't know shite about frick when it comes to baseball.
