The Yankees have been coming to Grambling since the 1970s and Steinbrenner was good friends with Eddie Robinson.

You know what makes your RPI drop? Losing a series to an unranked team whose fanbase blows more than just bubbles. How about thinking about the season ticket holders that pay to go to each game? What about the kids from Grambling losing out on their chance to play in the Cathedral of College Baseball? I’m sorry, but canceling this game is soft. Let the boys play. Don’t want your RPI to drop? Start hitting and stop losing to inferior competition. Type shxt.

Wow. You kinda stoo stoo boy. Do you know how to read a radar? Do you even see what's coming? It's gonna be pain starting around 7pm and the pain will continue. I see some hail in the future also. Not good.

Cool man. I was officiating a Jr. High school in my hometown and the town was having a Eddie Robinson Day and at halftime of the game he walked in the gym and I got to shake his hand. What a moment for me. I still remember it like it was yesterday

a win against Grambling is a bigger RPI drop than a loss against A&M

2022 LSU finished 17-13 in SEC good for 4th place. We didn’t host a regional while two teams with worse conference records did (including one that we won 2/3 from on the road). The difference our RPI was 25, those two teams were inside the top 15.

In fact, Arkansas was 18-12 that year too and didn’t host.

The game wouldn’t be played anyway. It’s also dangerous for Grambling to drive back home tonight even if they came. Cancelling was correct. Not sure why LSU schedules SWAC schools anyway other than Southern. They don’t help your RPI even with a win.
