LOL. You do know you can run the spread and run the ball over half the time. That's what Auburn has been doing every year Malzahn has been there.

He was. He also said at one point Canada was in Randy Shannon's head. This was in the first half after the TE play around the 50 on 3rd down

That's fine. But Canada isn't running a spread.

You're correct. Gary Danielson was extremely complimentary of Canada's offense.

Danielson was pretty critical of Etling's play though: throwing too late, abandoning pocket too soon, simply missing open receivers etc . . .

He might though.

He ran one at NC state, I think.

Is there some reason no one here is clamoring for Narcisse like I see threads for Brennan?

Is he hurt? Hated losing out on that guy. He will be a playmaker.

True....but that still doesn’t let the OL off the hook....we need all that misdirection and gimmicky sweeps because our OL can not just run the Miles offense (power run) at this moment....if you want an example of when O tried to run the simpler Miles offense, look no further than the Troy game...I don’t remember seeing our OL blowing Troy’s defense off the ball....we didn’t start scoring until a true freshmen QB ran the gimmicky offense....

Narcisse missed his last two years of HS WITH KNEE injuries. he needs a redshirt and minimal snaps next year at best

I found them all to be very complimentary of our entire team actually. He also took up for O when he changed the offense around for that one game, saying he understood because the guys just weren't getting the push we were used to so why not change it up a little. It's not like he totally changed the offense.

The fact of the matter is that Canada needs to simply change what he does in key situations like 1st down or 2nd down, and be more effective on those downs so that our down and distance is short. That's how every offense is effective. We don't have the players to make this offense look like it should, we just don't. I don't think it's just the OL, it's the WRs/TEs blocking and route running as well. Then Etling could be a lot better in the pocket and calm down a bit but you almost can't blame him for having jitters back there. Anyone would have happy feet with our OL. They are getting better though and I think this second team will grow leaps and bounds next year. I hope so anyway.

I thought Canada did a terrific job of setting up plays. That play where Williams was wide open down the sidelines was beautifully set up etling just missed him. he called a really good game despite having no passing attack whatsoever

This is nothing new, really. Offenses have always been designed in order to disguise things in order to set up certain plays.

LSU total offense in 2017 first six games averaged 398 a game.

LSU total offense in 2015 averaged 437 a game.

We also had a healthy fournette and more talent and experience at the wide receiver position.

Only concern I have with Canada’s offense is between the tackles running. After six games LSU isn’t getting the interior rushing we are used to. There are not as many run lanes between the tackles or second level runs.

I think the power pitch (not toss dive) needs to be back in the loop. That play with the leading blocker was money..

10 plus years of the toss dive that everyone in the universe knew was coming and the big boys on the DL of Bama etc. could stop and now we're complaining about LSU using misdirection from our Offense.

I've been screaming for LSU to do some misdirection for years and the only teams to do it well I.e. Ole Miss, aTm, AU, and last year Clemson are the only teams who've beaten
Bama.

Sabah hates it cause it negates his size, speed advantage.

Keep up what you're doing Matt Canada cause this is going to lead to an LSU victory over Bama that we all want.
