For what? Failing to anticipate FOR THE FIRST TIME IN HISTORY that the FBI would have any interest in investigating college basketball recruiting? Coaches talk to dozens of "runners a year. That's the entire reason AAU basketball exists. Wade just had the misfortune of talking to the ONE runner in the entire country who was cooperating with the FBI/DOJ on a case that began with a small-time financial advisor in Pittsburgh defrauding clients.

Then he gets investigated and ultimately fired for allegations of making "huge arse offers"...at a time where huge arse offers became "legal" and necessary

The DOJ celebrated they were going to "change college sports forever." In the end was a huge waste of time and, within a few years, rendered totally irrelevant. The only casualties were 5-6 assistant coaches and LSU basketball when the president/AD fired the HC to preemptively avoid program crippling sanctions...in the process doing more damage than any sanctions could have.

As soon as McMahon EQUALS OR EXCEEDS what Wade accomplished here we sure can move along.

And blee dis, in spite of this little hot start we're on against very suspect competition, Matt is nowhere near winning like Wade did here.

Also, check back with NC state in March and then comment on the job he's doing in Raleigh.

Understand I loved Wade here but the math isn’t adding up. So Wade plays a less talented #20 Auburn team with a team he spent $10 mil on this year and a possible POY candidate and loses by 10. Mcmahon plays #1 Auburn last year without their best player, Reed , no SEC caliber PG and loses by 13. But Wade is great and McMahon sucks. Make it make sense.

Unlike Woody who said "Bend Over", Wade you are out. Bend over again, Pellini you are in, Orgeron you are out.
Again and again, McMahon you are in, Kelly you are in.
Oops, now Woody you are out. It hurts so good.

I think anyone, with even the slightest bit of common sense, could tell you the difference is one of these coaches has significantly more recent and consistent success than the other. That’s what it’s based off of. Pure common sense.

That’s not what I’m talking about. I’m talking about comparable opponents with similar results but supposedly one can coach and one sucks. I would say that McMahon did the better job last year against Auburn with way less talent. And he did a great job last night.

Again, common sense. You are trying to do some idiotic comparison between 2 games that are not comparable to judge who is a better coach. It’s not a debate. Playing a common team a year apart isn’t a logical litmus test.

I’m sure I could go back 1 year in your post history and find your post talking about how everyone should eat crow because the team had a winning record against garbage competition.

Uh. No. And it is a legitimate comparison. Just because you don’t like it doesn’t make it wrong. McMahon competed against a better team with less talent. Fact.

His team is getting schooled by Steven Pearl at Auburn. They’re dropping 3s like dimes on his NC State boys.

He ain’t it.

What a moronic comment. Yeah, we need to move on, but the dude has won at 4 schools and just took over a 12-19 team. He took McNeese Freaking St.to the 2nd round of the NCAA tourney last year. Wade is brash and sometimes too confident, but he is winner.

I only ever see Wade bashers bringing up Wade, not his supporters. If you’re tired of hearing about Will Wade, maybe try shutting up.

Wrong it’s not an honest comparison, it’s a double standard that can be used at least a half dozen times in reverse to be discredited and your characterizations of “talent” are wildly incorrect and absurd.

That’s why the reading comprehension level on here is so low. I’m not trying to say McMahon is a better coach. What Im saying is he’s a good coach that has had bad talent. All the Wade vaginas are the ones that say McMahon sucks as a coach. But he did more with less against a better Auburn team than Wade did this year .He could have beaten AL on the road last year if they just shoot 20% from 3. He had no SEC level PG and no Reed. Take Tremont and one of his forwards off Wades past team and you’d see some struggles too. My point is McMahon is not a terrible coach. He wasn’t the recruiter Wade was but in this age of NIL all you need is $$$. Wade had $10 mil to spend this year and has a POY candidate on his team. What did McMahon have last year.?

It really is amazing to see the WW love here. Instead of going after a Nate Oats who’s resume dewarfs WW’s in a shorter time being a HC ,we want someone who’s only been to the sweet 16 once in 12 years. Why not do what Auburn did and get a Bruce Pearl ?? Just making the tournament is all our fans want ? We would never accept that from Lane/Jay.
