Players left or quit (chase) on the team.
Covid
Ryan Clark (BLM) bullshite.
He chose blondes over dealing with the bullshite. Can’t say I blame him.

Pretty sure we beat the Gators the day before he was let go. Anyway, if you keep him til the end of the year and hire a replacement shortly thereafter you don’t give the whole team months of no head coach to pick their next move. Huge fumble by woody.

He divorced his wife and started chasing 20 year old pussy. He quit focusing on football and seemed content with the one title.

Orgeron was an absolute fricking idiot when it came to hiring coordinators and had zero knowledge when it came to scheming. 2019 was an extreme outlier.

Right after championship:

Lost a ton of talent to the NFL from the championship team that wasn't the deepest roster yet.
Lost his DC and defensive staff as expected given such a great year.
Lost Brady on offense because he liked NFL better and value was peak.
Covid hit, killing practice time for new players and coaches.
Due to covid faced an all SEC schedule. Still went 5-5.

2020 Season:
Jamar Chase opts out due to Covid
Top defensive player in hospital night before first game.
Starting QB injured in 3rd game leaving 2 true freshman to finish last 7 games.

2021 offseason:
Need to replace DC.
First DC chosen, but Woodward clubs the contract for some reason.
Finds 2nd DC who eventually rights the ship on defense.
Ensminger retires and Woodward provides zero help on coaching search there either. Takes a flier on Peetz.
Idiot fans declare his seat hot and criticize single man for having hot girlfriends.

2021 Season:
Starting QB gets injured before Season leaving a true soph and true frosh as QB's.
Fired halfway through Season yet still finishes strong and keeps recruiting class intact.

how he left the roster in shambles?

This is the biggest lie. The 39 scholarship players are who was available for the bowl game (that BK did not coach despite being paid well), not the number he had.
The recruiting class left BK with 2 future NFL tackles and other promising players.
BK has yet had to recruit a starting QB in year 3 as Daniels called LSU and Nuss was already on the roster. Yet in year 3 apparently BK couldn't find a QB capable of being a backup.

Lot of truth in here.

Also, in 2020 there were no rent a wins so they end of with a 5-5 record going out with wins at Florida and home against Ole Miss

2021

L to UCLA
W over Ms St by 3
L to #22 Auburn by 5
L to #16 Kentucky by 21 (ouch)
W over #20 Florida by 7
L to #12 OM by 14
L to #3 Alabama by 6 (respectable)
L to Arky in OT by 3 (ouch)
W over A&M by 3

So even in a shite year where O gets rightfully criticized, most games against higher ranked opponents were hard fought, even with a new defensive staff (2 of which are BACK on this year's staff). The talent was there, they were just young.

Orgeron had a true rebuild to handle after 2019 where every starter was drafed at some point and lost like 18 starters from the NC team.

I am not saying he was a great coach or he didn’t say / do some inappropriate things.
However 1.) COVID
2.) blm marches and all that bs that came with it
3.) the most Important- he didn’t fit he image the Baton Rouge elite wanted to portray. They wanted someone who looked and sounded smart. Not a bayou boy.
They act like they want to be “Cajun” in BR With the “geaux” and “Bureaux” but the truth is Baton Rouge money thinks they better than the rest. O didn’t fit in. Plane and simple. He fielded the best team in the history of football in 2019- however that came together is irrelevant. He did it. Crazy the way he got canned for what we currently have imo. But again, that’s just muy opinion.

He required elite coordinators under him to be successful.
He required multiple women under him to be satisfied.

He bought his own hype as a "coach" and made some really bad hires. He also started chasing arse and stopped holding his players responsible at all.

Essentially three things: depletion of a starting roster after the 2019 season . Essentially 18 starters drafted or graduated.

Departure of Offensive Ccoordinator and Defensive Coordinator and coaches

Player rebellion dring Covid and BLM b.s. led by Jacoby Matthews

This led to a fast grind down that also led to his departure along with scores of players entering into the portal . Lest we forget there was WR playing QB against K State in that bowl game.

I'm not sure the defense ever truly recovered and defensive recruiting was gutted

He is who he always was. The decline isn’t the outlier in his career, the success is. So the question should be “how in the world did he luck into 2019?”

Miles hired Aranda. Aranda hired Busch who recruited Burrow. And Justin Jefferson turned out to be tBest Jefferson.
