I predict a big LSU win. Satterwhite appears to be a big upgrade to Bordelon.

Nevertheless, I am a little concerned about interior pressure and run defense.

The Auburn DL stifled Georgia's usually prolific run game. Georgia had averaged 6.2 yards per carry prior to the Auburn game. Their lowest game average prior to Auburn was 5 YPC against Oklahoma.

Against Auburn, Georgia had just 113 total rushing yards on 28 carries. They averaged only 4 YPC.

The Auburn defense consistently pressured Stockton, forcing crucial mistakes that ultimately cost Georgia the game.

Auburn's DL disrupted Stockton's rhythm. The pressure rattled Stockton and led to three turnovers. He threw two critical interceptions because of the pressure. Auburn's defensive line forced a Stockton fumble at the Georgia 44-yard line with under two minutes remaining. The fumble set up Auburn's walk-off, game-winning field goal.

Can LSU's OGs handle Auburn's DT's?

The anti-message board stance on a message board is always an interesting one.

They can continue to make the Dline of Auburn to run sideline to sideline by throwing quick screens, quick passes in the flat to WRs and RBs. Once they done that the Dline will get gassed real quick and then you run it right at them

Our OLine has played much better since putting Satterwhite in.

I’m just as interested to see if they can handle our DT’s. Their Oline played above their Skees against Georgia, can they do it a second week in a row against a DLine that is just as talented? (I think UGA’s run defense on the interior is better, but our pass rush is much better)

William Satterwhite replaced Bo Bordelon at left guard on the LSU offensive line. Satterwhite appears to be a big upgrade.

Yes.

And lane has taught Sam to get that ball out quick.

Big upgrade is a wiiiiiiiild thing to say. You just haven't seen Satterwhite go up against someone like Echoles, and so you think the LG play has gotten a lot better.

It hasn't.

Will be interesting to see how the OL does, as they’ve struggled against 3 man fronts so far and Auburn runs a 3-3-5.

Satterwhite is NOT a big upgrade over Bordelon. Both have struggled immensely.

True

50 was the weakest link by far against State. Can't believe there's no one else that could be given a try at LG.

Satterwhite is a good pass blocker. He gets blown up on run plays.

Bordelon gets blown up pass plays and is a better run blocker

Let's not get carried away here...

Bordelon is G5 quality, Satterwhite is low-SEC quality. He's had several penalties too.

Doesn’t MSU run a 3-3-5?

You are entitled to your opinion.

Kiffin, Weis, and Wolford seem to have a different opinion.

Um, do you mean blow out (laughable) or just a BIG win in general on the road?

Just a little? If you have paid attention, in the games we've lost our O line has been given fits by the opposing D line. They will have to play better on the road at Auburn to give Leavitt time to throw.

No, they put Satt in because they needed to try something else. That doesn't mean they think he's a "big upgrade"
