No, they put Satt in because they needed to try something else. That doesn't mean they think he's a "big upgrade"
Bordelon played 28 snaps against Texas A&M. Satterwhite played 42 at LG and 17 at Center.

Bordelon did not play against Kentucky or State.

It appears they tried something different. He hasn't played since.

It appears that Kiffin, Weis, and Wolford think Satterwhite is a big upgrade.

Doesn’t MSU run a 3-3-5?

Yessir. OL had some issues last week, especially in the run game. Auburn will have better horses.

The Auburn defense consistently pressured Stockton, forcing crucial mistakes that ultimately cost Georgia the game.

This needed to be the weekly slogan in the football ops building for Blake Baker to see everyday. Maybe then it would sink in what he needs to do.

Oh, when you put it in bold it makes sense now.

Again, making the switch means they think Satt is the better choice. You calling it a big upgrade is just assuming your opinion is also theirs.

Can't believe there's no one else that could be given a try at LG.

Given that basically our whole offensive line room hit the portal, we had a near total rebuild. You bring in who you can but we were up against nearly every other school for the same guys. We got the best in Seaton but after that it was slim pickings.

Bordelon did not play a single snap against Kentucky or State.

Not in short yardage. Not in goal line. Not in any package. Not in any play.

I thought I heard Georgia was down to third team rb for that game. If true, that could be a reason why the avg dropped.

I think you may have answered your own question. At least Auburn isn't sneaking up on anyone the rest of the season

They should try Devin Harper or Solomon Thomas

Would love to see Thomas get healthy and contribute. He was the #2 IOL from the class of 25'.

Scouting report:
quote:

Advanced offensive line prospect with some position flexibility that's built to play in an offensive system that’s heavy on gap and inside-zone concepts. Looks ready to play with a barrel-chested build that measures in at just under 6-foot-4, 315 pounds. Spent much of junior season working at left tackle, before repping primarily at left guard early on during senior season. Excels at pinning and pulling as he’s frequently in tune and in control of his body. Solid as a combo blocker and has the brute strength to displace assignments as a down blocker. Likes to finish with authority and will put defenders in the ground when he gets a chance. Has had his moments in pass pro over the years, but likely lacks foot quickness to handle the hot corner at the game’s highest levels. Still, has proven to be rather effective in tight quarters on passing downs with a formidable punch and sound hand placement. Projects as a potential multi-year starter for a Power Four program that can play three or four different spots up front, including center. Might need a year or two to adjust to the speed and physicality of the collegiate game, but appears to be ahead of the curve and will have a chance to eventually emerge as an NFL Draft pick if he can keep progressing and avoid setbacks.

Maybe Thomas and Harper emerge in 27'.

Quick sideline throws, which is bread and butter for Lane, plus moving the pocket, will neutralize the interior push. Establishing the run will slow the rush as well.
