More passing in walk thru practices, spread elements already in offense just can't be executed by players against better teams...

Not sure if you have seen The Outlaw Josey Wales, but in that movie there is a scene where Fletcher (guy sent by the Union army to kill Wales ) says "I dont want to hear Wales is dead...I want to SEE Wales dead."

I feel the same way about our passing game.

I really don't know why people don't believe Harris will be better. Even if our scheme stayed the same passing would improve based solely on his experience.

A lot of people share this sentiment. Or even move the goalposts back a bit further and say they "want to see it against Bama." Well, we don't play anybody till September. Don't play Bama till November. Nothing can change that. So, perhaps you can do yourself--and the rest of us, quite frankly--a favor and not read or post anything about the team until your deemed date of approval is nigh.

Me too. I want to see it. Not hear about it again.

This based on what? Etling's stellar play at Purdue. He was a so-so first year starter at a mid-major and he was on pace to be a so-so incumbent before he lost his spot.

I guess coaches and politicians are cut from the same cloth. Just tell the people what they want to hear

JJ regressed his second season as the starter. Granted that was Crowton, but still, its not like it hasn't happened before under Miles.

So basically our top recruiting classes are a fraud. Except for the running backs.

Small sample size and an unfair comparison. Just because BH is black and can run, that doesn't make him JJ.

The vast majority of the time quarterbacks across college football get better with more experience. Just like with anything else, experience necessarily makes you better.

That is correct. Harris first year starting as a sophomore stats are very similar of Mettenberger first year starting and he was a Junior..

They are almost identical, and actually Harris had a few better stats..

Mettenberger took 3 years in the system and being a Senior before he finally broke out.

Harris is on his 3rd season and should definitely improve like Mett did in his 3rd season.
