I think the point is Gage has never done anything in his career to solidify being the No. 2 RB with no consideration of giving Berry or Durham carries...except in garbage time. While not a huge amount, both Durham and Berry have documented production against SEC opponents. Gage had 13 carries for 63 yards prior to this season.
Obviously Jones is your No. 1 RB. But if your No. 2 hasn't done much what is the harm in giving some guys who have actually had success some carries in the No. 2 spot?

He does telegraph runs some with sticking the ball out so early. However, Jones has much better numbers and he is taking the same handoffs. Those guys need to make more of their opportunities. 4 carries for 1 yard is awful no matter who is blocking for you.

No complaints with Dillon but I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't mind seeing more Berry. It's not like Dillon has just blown it away so much so that one of the other guys shouldn't get a few more snaps.

There’s a reason for it, I’m sorry. This is an offensive coaching team that created Lacey. I would trust them. I don’t know what the reason is. But it’s a really really good one.

Because the RB coach that gets paid to determine who goes when, said Gage is up next. And he is a pretty good RBs coach.

Either 1 would be great coming out of backfield on screen pass. I could see 1 or 2 of those going to the house...... Sam needs help in the passing game. Haven't seen many screens at all this season.

He has the 2nd best avg and 2nd longest run of all the RBs so far. And he only has 15 carries vs 5 and 4. It's not like he is up there with Jones. It's more like he is just above Durham and Berry. And they are all pretty far down from Jones.

Someone should respond to him and tell him to tell Caden to stop falling down on first contact.
Maybe Caden would play more if he would actually produce.

I mean he played Simmons over Chambliss last year and only started Chambliss once Simmons got hurt. Same scenario, Lower Level experienced QB sitting while flashy name QB starts and throws lots of INTs.
Also, paying Leavitt $5-6 Million and benching him was never going to happen if he was healthy to start the season.
In the end, will be interesting to see how Kiffin handles it, especially with Leavitt’s dad putting some bigoted stuff on his social media.

Gage currently has 15 carries for 56 yards bud. Id rather give it to the more explosive backs and hope they hit the hole once rather than Gage hitting the hole and getting 3 yards.
