Graham Harrell
Had Les hired an OC like Harrell a few years ago he would still be HC @ LSU.

Good luck to ya Les !

Les had one of the best prime collegiate coaching positions in college football and he blew it. All he had to do was hire a good and competent college OC and let him do his job. Someone with enough football IQ to compete against the elite in college football. He hired Greg Studrawa. Which was the main reason LSU's offense didn't score a TD against Sabama in 2011 and didn't score anything against them in the 2012 NC game. Kansas is NOT a prime collegiate coaching position. The took the most popular name they could get hoping it will bring some attention to their program. It wasn't about want, it was about default.

Not for long. Les is about to shake up the BIG12 in a big way.

You are correct... nobody wanted Les. Kansas is nobody.

It took him two years and he literally had to rely on his buddy getting him a job at one of the worst P5 conference schools in America. It's not like FSU, A&M, or anybody else that is remotely relevant came knocking on his door.

I wish him the best of luck, he's been a class act over the last couple of years, but he was not in high demand.

C'mon, you know lots of people said that. I don't recall you saying it but my memory is pretty shoddy these days.

1st it was nobody wanted him and since that apparently it’s not true, it changes to nobody good wanted him.

The disrespect for and down right bitterness some feel toward the most successful football coach in LSU history, who was still producing ranked teams and highly ranked recruiting classes, is more than a little amazing and classless.

I don't know what sort of credibility you may have had before, but you threw it out the window with your OP.

After two years he finally gets a new gig, and it's with the worst power 5 program in the country, and you believe this has proven that people were wrong?

I'd call that a joke, but that would be an insult to comedy.

—and stability at DC, too.
Great guy, handled his firing with great class, love him, but it was time.

Two years ago, it was said nobody wanted him. For two years that held true. Now, he's got a job that nobody else wants. Just look at the hires Kansas always makes. They hire the most obscure people, who are just happy to get any head coaching opportunity.

And Les Miles is now reduced to that status. If you don't get that, there is no point in trying to have a rational conversation with you, my friend.

I like Miles as a person. I wish him the best. But he's not an elite head coach. Not even close, and that has been proven.

My dream would be to see Kansas play R-Kansas, and to see Les once again wearing a jacket on a hot day.
