I mean just hearing Brady say things like they plan on going "no huddle" a lot of the time is music to my ears. You cause defenses a lot of problems when you play fast, and Nick Saban hates that kind of offense.

Because Saban loves to be able dictate what an opposing offense does. He always wants to be able to get what he feels are his best defensive packages on the field. His pet peeve is winning 1st & 2nd down so he can unleash hell on opposing QB on 3rd & long.

The teams that play at pace or who can dictate favorable personnel groupings in their favor are the teams that give Saban defenses trouble.

I look for them to finally break the jinx against Alabama this year, LSU's talent can be unstoppable I've always felt when fully unleashed in the type of offense that can put up video game numbers.

I'm not willing to go that far just yet without seeing this offseason play but I'm fairly positive that this Tiger offense will be the most challenging Tiger offense that Saban has gone against since he has been at Bama.

I have a lot of confidence in Joe. The Saints and LSU both have a chance to be special this year. It’s going to be a fun season baws.

Look, I get what you're saying & yes it was a mess but when they originally tried early on last year taking more snaps from shotgun/pistol, Burrow took a beating because the offense line couldn't hold up the majority of the time in pass pro.

The easiest way to offset those issues are to run the ball & max protect in passing situations. That's why Joe was put under center. Now with a full offseason under his belt, you can open things up because of the familiarity that ALL the players have on offense.

Fuuuuuuuuuck no.

It’s not 1992 anymore. Offenses have evolved. The best way to make up for a shitty offensive line with LSU’s athletes is to get the ball out of the QB’s hands quickly for high % passes. Brady has literally talked about it at every Tiger Tour stop. That mentality is dated. O and Ensminger didn’t have that in their playbook. I watched them repeatedly put Burrow under center and run play action after play after with max protect against Bama. Many times inside our own 10yd line. It was maddening.

Hopefully there is somebody on the offensive staff that can suggest using a passing game that utilizes something more than 5 and 7 step drops.

I know what Saban likes to dictate and can't dictate, I mean your definition is appreciated, but not necessary, and if you're going to beat the Bama jinx you must do it this year otherwise the head games continue. This upcoming season with the talent and experience that they have gives them their best shot at stopping Alabama in their tracks and turning this ship around. I don't care if the game is in Alabama too because other schools have gone into their house and kicked their asses. LSU with Burrows at the helm has as about as good a shot this year as they've ever had, and I hope they finally do it. Go unbeaten and into the SECCG, and beat (probably Georgia again in the title game), beat Georgia's asses and march into the playoffs. I'm just being enthusiastic (hope eternal) about the cause this year. Lol

Not when you have a QB that hasn't had much time to get his timing down with his receivers. No matter how much you scream, what you posted wasn't gonna work in that situation and this coming from someone who has been begging for a more open, creative offense.

There's a reason Brady is able to implement these concepts now & it has do with Burrow having a chance to go through an entire spring learning the offense while working on his timing with the receivers.

Yes, and his name is Joe Brady who will have his QB do 3 to 5 step drops at most and out of his hands the ball flies quickly. I can't see Burrows holding the ball long because it's not what Brady wants him to do, he wants the ball gone quickly.

My post wasn't necessarily aimed at you, I was just piggybacking off what you had posted.

LOL ok. Haven't even seen a game played yet this season and you're already guaranteeing we lose to bama. That's a loser mentality if there ever fricking was one.

worst thing about Joe burrow is we only have him for 1 more year.
I've said it before and will say it again the lsu football team started getting positive momentum the minute o got Joe to come here and it hasn't stopped since.

I honestly feel like that was 1 of the most important things o has done since bevo.ign head coach

Unfortunately, I don’t think we will score near that many points.

They ran play action against bama inside our 20. You are dead wrong. It was November. Not the first game.

Other teams have been able to insert QBs with less experience with the team and not have to use that shite.

This will be the most talented LSU team overall that Saban has gone since 2011 & the most talented group of Tiger offensive players since 2013.

Had the Tigers had a better offensive line in 2013, that game would have been down to the wire. Cam Cameron's mistake was trying to beat Bama that year with deep drops & longer routes downfield. The line didn't hold up & Mett took a beating because of that. Cam would have better off trying to take advantage of Landry & Beckham's abilities underneath over trying to stretch the field as well as hitting Hill flaring out of the backfield.

This year, I strongly believe this offense will take whatever the defense will give them especially on 1st & 2nd down. Get the "cheap" yardage then set yourself for 3rd & manageable. That's how you sustain drives against a Saban coached defense.

Also, if Joe Brady learned anything from Sean Payton, he will have 4-5 specific "shot plays" prepared in between the 40s that are designed against specific Bama packages & personnel groupings. The LSU has not had that before in their arsenal with matchups against Saban. I feel really good about this year's team's chances to go to Tuscaloosa & pull out a win.
