Burrow: "I don't think a lot of people are used to LSU scoring 40, 50, 60 points a game"

Love the confidence and swag. Burrow's going to put up some monster numbers this year. Excited as hell to see this offense in action.

Nothing made me harder then reading those quotes.

And with a great defense that gets the offense back on the field quickly it could happen

Joe has rocketed up the list of my favorite LSU players of all time

Our offense was a mess last year.
We wanted to run RPOs and spread stuff.
Got a QB who came from and offense that ran RPOs and spread stuff and spend he first half the season making him take snaps under center For the first time since 6th grade!
Burrow is going to impress next year.

Before coming to LSU, he hadn't played in any game of consequence since high school, and even back then, he'd never taken a snap under center.
"I was still learning how to play football that way," said Burrow, who'd last taken a snap under center in sixth grade. "I was just kind of scavenging, trying to win games any way that I could."
After reading that, you really understand just how much of a struggle it was for Burrow to get his feet under him & why his timing was so off with the receivers especially early on in the season.

He made Georgia safety Richard LeCounte look like an idiot in the open field.

Joe has big dick energy.

Look, I get what you're saying & yes it was a mess but when they originally tried early on last year taking more snaps from shotgun/pistol, Burrow took a beating because the offense line couldn't hold up the majority of the time in pass pro.
The easiest way to offset those issues are to run the ball & max protect in passing situations. That's why Joe was put under center. Now with a full offseason under his belt, you can open things up because of the familiarity that ALL the players have on offense.

I have said it since last season ended. LSU will have a good offense in 2019. Not good by LSU standards, I mean a top 25 offense.
This is the most experienced, talented group since 2013. And while burrow doesn’t have Metts arm strength, I’m not sure that by the end of the season he won’t be one of the best QBs in LSU history.
His interview said it all. He’s worried about winning games and the rest will take care of itself.

Joe is such a stud! I’m feeling as good about this season as I have in a long time.

Which would do wonders for QB recruiting down the road. There's already a budding interest amongst high school recruits at the skill positions concerning what Joe Brady will bring to table pertaining to the Tiger's offense. If the production shows up on the field, it could lead to LSU being able to snag highly touted QB recruits from across the country going forward.

LSU has always had the talent, but have run conservative offenses most of the time going back to Saban's days. It will be a nice, refreshing time if they are to finally open it up like people are expecting them to do. I mean just hearing Brady say things like they plan on going "no huddle" a lot of the time is music to my ears. You cause defenses a lot of problems when you play fast, and Nick Saban hates that kind of offense. I look for them to finally break the jinx against Alabama this year, LSU's talent can be unstoppable I've always felt when fully unleashed in the type of offense that can put up video game numbers. I expect Burrows to have huge numbers by passing the ball to multiple receivers like Drew Brees does, that's what Brady will have him doing imo.
