IMO Burrow’s ability to read the field and confidently run the offense comes from a little known fact .... Burrow was an ALL STATE Point Guard in basketball in Ohio. He could have had a basketball schollie somewhere. The coaches in 2019 just harnessed these skills to a football player. His ability to spend almost a 100% of his time at football also helped.
IMO since Brennan will be able to spend almost a 100% of his time at football since he graduates in August he could well become a very good QB if not a great one.

Jamarcus Russell's hands probably measured at 12 inches and unfortunately look how his career went.

Nope, 9.63". Big arse Phillip Rivers 9.25". Teddy Bridgewater 9.25". If his hand measured 8", probably a challenge. Part of this is the preferred spot the individual QB chooses to hold the ball when passing. Not like Burrow is new to cold nasty weather, hand size should be well down the list of QB traits teams are seeking.

I said, ‘Joe, you’re gonna get asked this question at the combine: Why the unbelievable leap from last year to this year?’
“He said, first of all, he’s a grad transfer. Most grad transfers transfer in the spring. He said, ‘I got to LSU after the freshmen had already reported for full camp.’ So you talk about trying to learn everything in a heartbeat and try to get to know your teammates, and then plug in and be ready to play. That’s the first part of it. Second part, he hadn’t played much football in the previous three years. There was some rust.
This is exactly what some of us posters were saying allllll last summer, yet Ricky and his band of minions kept exclaiming "but muh scheme".

All of that can be true and it can also be true that Ensminger had him running a shite scheme that Brady had to come in and fix.

It’s hard to bet against Joe’s body of work but something to keep an eye on for sure

I’m not being a contrarian at all. I provide information, it’s up to you how you take it.
What exactly do you disagree with?
Have you ever thrown a football before?

Over the past 10 years, a mere three quarterbacks with 9-inch hands have attempted more than 300 passes -- Goff, Tannehill and Chad Henne. During that span, none of them has a Total QBR above 55.

Jared Goff is a 2x Pro Bowler and Tannehill just had a great year with Tennessee.

you have no data to backup that having 9 inch hands will effect his ability to play qb. If anything, what burrow has done in his career has suggested the opposite.
Granted if your hands are so tiny they cant even hold a football properly then yeah but those qbs are not even draftable.
But i am not here trying to act like I know what I am talking about. Are you suggesting that Cincy should take Justin Hebert instead? Doubtful.

OT here, but your link contains a fantastic interview with Al Michaels about the Miracle on Ice in 1980.
