re: DBU debate settled by the numbers: LSU wins - dailybuck
In 2005 Donte Whitner of OSU was pick No. 8 as safety and a 2 time pro bowler. Ashton Youbouty was a 3rd round pick and played 7 years. Nate Salley was a 4th round pick and played about 3 years. LSU had no DBs drafted....

re: Chris Long and Phil Simms break down Joe Burrow's pro potential - dailybuck
Interesting that they said that Burrow was good at not taking hits which distinguished him from Tua. I remember when Burrow first came to LSU, he said that he DIDN'T go out of bounds-- he had the mindset of a linebacker. I was amazed when he said because it increased the chance of injury so mu...

re: Will Burrow reach Maravich status at LSU? - dailybuck
"West and Riley were jealous to the point Pete would drop 50 and hold his guy to 16 and they said he wouldn’t defend." You have gone off the deep end here claiming that West was jealous of Maravich. He had absolutely no reason to be jealous in that his accomplishments far outpaced those of Marav...

re: Will Burrow reach Maravich status at LSU? - dailybuck
Here is a summary of Bill Walton from his sophomore year, where the best players he had on his team were Keith Wilkes & Henry Bibby (good but not super players) "With Walton playing alongside Henry Bibby, Larry Farmer, Wilkes, Lee and Swen Nater, UCLA finished 14–0 in the Pac 8 Conference.[21] ...

re: Will Burrow reach Maravich status at LSU? - dailybuck
Lanier is in both the college hall of fame and the NBA hall of fame and was an 8 time all star. Tomjanovich was a 5 time NBA all star. Maravich was a 5 time NBA All Star. Someone up thread mentioned that Maravich was the best player in collegiate basketball history. I would rate both Kareem Ja...

re: Will Burrow reach Maravich status at LSU? - dailybuck
The talent evaluators in the NFL had Burrow rated as the best player in college. NBA evaluators had Maravich rated as the 3rd best player in the 1970 NBA draft behind Bob Lanier and Rudy Tomjanovich....

re: Good News for Joe--Looks like Mike Brown all in on him and will spend money - dailybuck
" The last 15 years of the Browns have turned me into an apathetic fan. pussy " Yeah the Browns did Cleveland proud last year, particularly in the Pittsburg game. Also, wonderful to watch what a well-disciplined, admirable team they were last year, when they had so few bonehead penalties...

Good News for Joe--Looks like Mike Brown all in on him and will spend money - dailybuck
I grew up in Cleveland and now live in Cincinnati. The last 15 years of the Browns have turned me into an apathetic fan. Of course, I am an OSU fan first and foremost. Watch virtually no traditional TV but caught a Bengals ad for season tickets featuring Joe. (Can't find a link) To me this indi...

Joe will be playing against many ex-teammates - dailybuck
For instance, the Browns have Greedy, Delpit and Denzel Ward (OSU) in the defensive backfield. Reasonably likely that they all may be playing against Joe at the same time. Jacob Phillips could also be playing. Many possible interesting combinations....

re: Draft record? - dailybuck
In 2004, Ohio State had 14 players selected, which I still believe is still the record. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2004_NFL_Draft In 2016, OSU had 10 players selected in 1st 3 rounds, which was a record which LSU could challenge. https://www.ncaa.com/news/football/article/2016-04-30/nfl-draf...

re: Someone post all those crazy Ohio State fan comments again - dailybuck
Some people here were saying that he couldn't be any good because he didn't win the job at OSU. I knew he was a very good qb (I thought a 2d to 4th round draft pick), but I had no idea of him turning in the greatest season in college football history. Take a look at his spring games and his wonder...

OSU Coaches Asked About Joe Burrow by NFL Coaches - dailybuck
Seems like some NFL teams might be considering moving up in the draft to grab Burrow. Here is the relevant part from the article: "Not many teams have had a reason to ask about Burrow because he’s not expected to slide past the Cincinnati Bengals at the top spot, but more than one team has inqui...

re: Some Potential Problems for Joe B in Cincinnati - dailybuck
Joe seems to be sending out the message that he would rather be a winner than max out earnings in 1st 5-7 years in league. Suppose sitting out or forcing a trade costs him 10 mil. Might not be a big deal to him if he makes $15 mil. Not everyone cares about maximizing the millions they make. ...

"I didn't realize I was dealing with Slumlord, Esquire. Your position is suddenly valid." More moronic statements. I ate $4,000 in back rent from one tenant who contracted fibrotic lung disease from his work causing a 70% reduction in his lung capacity. All of my tenants pay me exactly on time,...
