Burrow and others will have an autograph session in April. I didn't know his signature demanded so much cash. His autograph will cost you $199 and a picture with him will cost you $219. I always thought autographs were fan favors. I cant afford his picture so I guess I just watch him on my DVR.

You know how many autographs he’d have to sign if they were free? Even if the fans genuinely just wanted one thing signed for themselves, it would be astronomical. Now throw in the assholes who’ll bring in a bag full of items to be signed.

When and where will this be?

Also, those prices are ridiculous, but you might as well get a picture if the autograph is only $20 less. The crazy thing is I’ll bet there will still be a ridiculous amount of people paying up. I may be one of them

The $199 is about run of the mill, but like you I can't justify spending $199 on an autograph. I'll wait and get him another time.

I always thought autographs were fan favors.

A player signing a few balls and caps after a game is completely different than a scheduled signing. Unless of course you're referring to Fan Day in which LSU requires the student athlete to take pics and sign stuff without being able to profit on their name, image, and likeness.

Issue with autographs is that they know that many of those items will turn up on ebay for sale if they have them away for free.

But yeah it is a high price for an autograph that in some cases is just for a kid.

I’m pretty sure he gets paid an appearance fee to sign for a specific amount of time from a 3rd party. What they charge for his time is their business. It’s not like joe is going to be collecting the money himself.

Burrow signed with Fanatics, which is why the price is so high.

I’ve already got my ticket for signing of a “premium item”. Any suggestions on what I get signed? Jersey? Geauxt poster? Helmet?

CEH and Jefferson will be there, too. Their sig or pics are going for about 100$ less.

It is a completely different ballgame. Ask the Ferengis. I do not blame him.

This. Nowadays the star players and some even non star players sign contracts with autograph companies. They are exclusive to sign stuff for that company to sell and their events, which drives up the prices. Fanatics is one of the highest. Current players cost the most because their time is so valuable. (and they get paid so much already). But plenty of retired guys didn't make millions in the pros and now make a living on the autograph circuit.

It's 40 dollars if you accidentally bump to him while walking. Sorry, Nobody is worth paying for an autograph.

I did it. Got a photo op ticket. I didn't go to the championship so I'm treating myself to this. I had a dream the other night that I met him so I'm making it happen I didn't get a confirmation e-mail so I hope I didn't just get scammed.
