How funny would it be if the assclown Saints picked up Pyburn and placed him on the 53?

LSU isn't paying that out this late for a rotational piece.

Who would pay more?

Doesn't matter. Until he clears waivers, he's bound by an NFL contract if he wants to play football. If another NFL team claims him on waivers, they assume the same contract he had with the Bucs. If a team claims him on waivers and he says "nah, I'll go play for LSU instead" then the NFL team can sue Pyburn for breach of contract and LSU for tortious interference and it would be a slam dunk case for the plaintiff.

He needs to clear waivers to become a free agent to sign anywhere else to play football.

Better with him in the DT rotation for sure. We are talented there, but thin

Not blaming Kiffin or LSU for going after him, because they absolutely should, but this is all such a farce and the sport needs to get its shite together.

Some people are overreacting. Everything that has been said points to this mess being a ONE TIME MESS caused by the timing of the 5 for 5 policy change. I'm willing to accept everyone's word on this including Lane Kiffin who said that "I would not be interested in bringing players cut by NFL teams back to college in future years." So everyone needs to take a deep breath and not act like this is going to be a perpetual issue. It will NOT be one IMO.
