re: Bryant-Denny concessions made me truly realize how incompetent Tiger Stadium is (pics)

Why does any stadium in the world have concessions then? By this logic all concessions should be closed down.
Maybe people don't have 6 hours to tailgate ahead of the game because they work until an hour before game time and only show up for the game. There's a variety of scenarios why people would eat/drink there.

Shut up and get it fixed Scott.

There’s no doubt in my mind.
LSU is way behind the 8 ball when it comes to fan experience at Tiger Stadium. Been the BDS and Kyle Field. Both were very pleasant experiences. Not to mention the light shows. The concessions are decent. Not to super expensive. Restrooms are more modern and clean. Concourses and well maintained and clean.
Walking down the ramps inside TS it literally looks like a bomb went off. You see exposed piping and broken concrete everywhere. It’s disgusting if we’re being honest. Tiger Stadium is supposed to be the pride and Joy of Louisiana yet we allow it to be just another shite hole that’s common in LA?

I was at the Ole Miss / A&M game in Oxford this past Saturday with family. Their concessions are top notch. For instance, they had a beer area (also had peanuts, candy, water) where you walked in and grabbed what you wanted yourself (beer and water out of fridges) then proceeded to one of the 5 quick kiosks to pay.
LSU has those too

you're that dad who gets paper cups at the movie theater to fill up at the warm water fountain and won't spring for popcorn for your kids huh?

I think it's one of those "it's a shithole, but it's our shithole" things.
But I agree. I was in BDS this past weekend too. Aside from the game it was a great experience. As awful as State's football program currently is, their gameday atmosphere is good. The upper level has an enclosed, air-conditioned area with nice bathrooms with quick and easy concessions that move quickly.
I doubt anything changes anytime soon because the AD still pulls in money, but the gameday experience in Tiger Stadium is pretty awful comaparatively

If the game starts at 6, you are probably leaving the house at 3ish, and you're not getting home until 11ish. That's not 3-4 hours, that's 8, and for at least 5 of those hours you're only choice to get food or water is in the stadium.
because he's a troll and doesn't even believe what he's saying or else he's a fat keyboard warrior who has never been to an LSU game in the last 50 years and understands how long you're there.

When you spend an entire day eating at a tailgate, I don't get why you also need to stuff your face at a game. Especially when it's overpriced, cold, and not good, and you have to wait in a long line to get it.
Hard to spot all the flaws in your logic, but here's a start:
1. Not everyone spends an entire day eating at a tailgate. Many people that are going to the game go straight from the car to the stadium.
2. Apparently to you there's no in-between "zero food" and "stuffing your face." Getting a bottle of water or a soft drink for the kids, or grabbing a bag of peanuts for the family to share, or *gasp* getting some stadium nachos doesn't exactly count as "stuffing your face."
3. The premise of the OP was to identify a way to reduce the issues you listed. So would you "stuff your face" if the food was good, warm, and priced correctly? Or are you just pointing out that the OP is correct, whether you partake in it or not?
4. Why would it matter how long the lines are to you if you aren't using the concession stands during the game?

Of the SEC Stadiums that I have been to we have the worst concessions and under the stadium areas.

Always an excuse for being shite. It’s the same with Alex box. It was made like arse with corners cut and within 10 years already the bottom half of the SEC. But Louisiana people will say
“Shut up. It’s better than the old one”

Thank you for posting this
I've tried to gently tell the LSU faithful in other threadsthe evil Alabama empire is kicking our arse on the field and off the field...
All you get is this prideful response "TS is the greatest"..."LSU s campus is beautiful"
To help game day experience:
The biggest need imho is building 5 star hotels and nice restaurants and bars as close to TS as you can get...
Organize tailgating...
Keep the campus spotless
The problem is too many LSU board members like LSU to look old (meaning keep the historical look to it's buildings as they renovate)... so all construction projects take too long to get underway and adds unnecessary costs...
Students don't like things that look and feel tired and or old...
LSU needs to research what others are doing...
Get a plan
And SELL IT

A lot of people have no interest watching an overweight Cajun cook and drink all day..."try this Gator"
Its exhausting dragging all that stuff from home to a parking lot...
Tailgating doesn't have to be a day of cooking. Its part of it, but not for everyone...
People seek less hassle
Good food and drink is important during the game.
Money isn't the issue, quality is the issue

It doesn't matter. If you invite 40 people over to watch a game, are you not feeding anyone? Not to mention, it's another way for LSU to make more money, and we all know how much they like that.

I dont know what the interior of BDS is like, but the big issue the lack of concourse space inside the stadium. This is why concessions consistently suck in various parts of the stadium. There are some areas that are better but for the most part the experience sucks everywhere.
This is not an easy fix.

I’ve been to every SEC stadium except Kentucky, and I can tell you that tiger stadium BY FAR has the most inept helpers and deplorable concession stands…and overall options for food
I’m not talking about suites or the luxury areas, I’m talking about what most of us use for food during the game
It is fricking sad

We are the laughing stock of concessions, Scott. If Alabama doesn’t need to sell that Dasani water bottle for $10 then neither do we. Read the room and get it fixed.
This seems like your biggest complaint & LSU already has the water stations in & around the stadium.
