Bryant-Denny concessions made me truly realize how incompetent Tiger Stadium is (pics)

Water stations all around the stadium. There are small paper cups for use. If you want a lot of water you may have to buy a cup or water bottle first. But for very hot games this keeps lines low and saves us from paying $10 for a water.

Here, you can see you picked up as many “sausage, hot dog, burger or popcorn you wanted”. Then, they had 6 cashiers ready to ring you up or to get you nachos/cold drinks.

I stood in line for 5 minutes at halftime! It was so efficient. I asked the lady who rang me up how they did it. She said they were all volunteers and they were actually short handed. They were all middle aged white women possibly working for a charity.

I forgot to take a pic of the beer lines but they were almost empty because they had 3 kiosks right next to each other ready to serve. They went soooo fast and had so many different varieties of choices.

I worked the concessions at TS when I was in high school for a club. It was for us to raise money. We worked our butts off. Sadly, that has gone away in TS.

I’ve been to MLB parks, NFL games and other college football stadiums. We are by far the worst.

We are the laughing stock of concessions, Scott. If Alabama doesn’t need to sell that Dasani water bottle for $10 then neither do we. Read the room and get it fixed.

Can you go 3-4 hours without eating while at home? Why do so many people NEED concessions during a football game?

You mean schools actually invest in their concessions in a way that benefits the consumer? Who would have thought

If it’s an 11 am or 6:30 pm game, I need something to eat and drink. And so will my wife and kids.

I was there too on Saturday night. The water stations were great, but the food quality was just as poor as tiger Stadium. The one exception was the cheese quality on the nachos. It was excellent. For me the lines didn't move fast and service was poor. Also they charge $10.50 for a beer, and with this defense I was forced to buy a dozen of them to get through the night.

Yes! It was an actual white queso you’d get at a restaurant.

And yeah I don’t care about the quality of the burger. I expect it to be average. But it’s the fast pace and service that blew me away.

What kind of obtuse retard did your parents raise?
If you go to the fair, you expect carnival food.
Baseball game? Hotdogs and sunflower seeds.

Anniversary night? Sex.

It's ok to expect things.

I don’t buy concessions typically at games simply bc it’s not very good and it’s overpriced but I get the frustration that people have with the service and products.

No need for you to be an a-hole.

Is this a serious statement? Like that’s the best you could do?
Surely you’re not that fricking stupid and ignorant.

Get this. They even had one of the water stations half way up the rap to get to the very top of the stadium. So if you needed water while walking that 3 mile hike up, it was right there.

This argument is so ridiculous that it should result in you being banned and sent back to kindergarten for a bit.

Did anyone state that they NEED concessions during the game?

Why would it be an unrealistic expectation that a trip to the concession stand during a game should be a quick and easy trip?

Why would it be an unrealistic expectation that concession stands serve edible food?

Why would it be an unrealistic expectation that the people operating the concession stands seem like they're at least semi-competent to input information into the computer they have to operate?

Why do people like you make this dumb argument which suggests that people should just be okay with horrible concessions options and experiences because they could just not eat for 3-4 hours?

It's part of going to the game. People pay a LOT of money to go to a game. Why should this part of the experience not be on par with the money that people spend?

I believe LSU sold the concession rights to Aramark.
It would be interesting to see the terms of the contract to see if the Ath Dept.gets a percentage of the sales, or if they get a lump sum.

It’s not just Bryant-Denny. Every other stadium I’ve been to this season in the SEC does this. MSU had dozens of people working that station where you walk in to concessions stand, grab whatever you want, and someone is always free to ring you up with so many volunteers. There was a line maybe 100 people deep and we were back to our seats within 10 minutes of getting in line.

If LSU doesn’t act and follow suit by next season it makes us look pretty damn…. put politely, incompetent.

They did. One of Alleva’s great master plans.
