"It's not this year, but with the lines on both sides that Orgeron is recruiting at LSU and if they get something at QB, this could be a @CFBPlayoff contender in 2019"

Our DL could be

Farrell Shelvin Logan in 2019.

So we don't worry about this year? I'm tired of the "next year" crap.

I'm guessing the loss of snaps on offense

New qb, wr, rb, and system

Defense will be at a CFP level this year IMO

Have a lot to replace on D for 2019 though. Potentially entire dline, best lb, best db.

No one knows how it will come together. 2011 wasn't circled as THE year but things came together for that team. Most thought 2012 would be better.

Schedule, too many new players in new roles, new offensive scheme, still young on OLine

Imagine getting Fehoko, Lawrence, and Alexander back though. Coach O isn't Miles and he won't encourage guys to enter early like Miles did.

didn't O say we would be in the CFP in 2017? guess he meant 2019.

Like who?

If those three are back next year something went really wrong this year.

need to get them coached up. They can compete this year.

I think we will need to wait for results for 2020 or 2021. The cupboard was empty. The schedule is too hard. it takes time to implement a new system. O needs time to recruit his own players. He's changed man. He's learned his lesson since OM.

@Vandy

Drop Miami for UT OOC.

@Bama but get Auburn, UF, and A&M at home.

‘19 is definitely a slightly less formidable schedule on paper but I think Florida Ags and even Arkansas will be much better in year 2 (that’s how it’s supposed to work) than they will be this year so that is hard to measure.

Plus we’ll be losing White, probably Greedy and Rashard, and more OL, plus who knows from the WRs.

No reason that this can’t be the year to at least go 10-2 if Burrow is the real deal and E is the guy to finally get the passing game on track.

Not that I necessarily disagree, but we've been hearing this for what, 8 years now?

Same.

LSU will lose two of their very best defensive players. Three actually with Lawrence. With Greedy and White you have Championship-caliber players that take over games or make game changing plays. Greedy is a RS soph correct?

Could potential lose their QB as well and be breaking in yet another QB, although Brennan should be ready by then.

Who knows.

I don't care for the schedule excuse. We may not open up against a Miami, but a lot of SEC teams should continue to only get better.
