If I did not comply with directions, turned my back on an officer, and put my hands in my pants, I would expect a gun to be pulled.

I had a felony stop put on me by accident years ago, as my car matched that of a stolen car in the area.
They had me get out at gunpoint, back up to them, put me in cuffs, then the back of the car while the figured it out. I never said a word until I was in the back of the car, and then through just shock and confusion I simply asked "What is this all about?". They told me, I told them there has to be a mistake, they went to talk. A few minutes later they cam back, apologized, and let me go.
I'm white (though I do have a beautiful olive complexion).
Sometimes, cops just follow procedures regardless of race. Sometimes, they don't, as not all cops are great people.
In this case, it would seem as if they followed proper procedures...regardless of race.

“Felony stop”, yes. Suspected a crime was being or had been committed.
