Feel like Wiggins, Langston, Jones are a year or two away.

Though I'm very curious if cherry and little are ever going to contribute. Feel like they can and should. Especially little I was very excited about him

I asked a friend about him I guess he is a frickin burner and very underrated. I think he was state in 200 or 100m runs sub 11 or 10 something like that

He is a top athlete just not that highly rated football player.

I will tell you what both these guys that Kelly is after in Paul and Rutledge look like damn players. And 8 don't imagine these guys transferring out at 3 year.i would think both are 5 year players that will contribute at minimum special teams

Haven't heard much about this dude in the portal. We offered when he was in HS, but yea, different recruiters. Still would fill a position of need with a quality TE. Michael Trigg, 4* USC TE transfer with 3 years of eligibity left.

He's been brought up and going where the former USC QB Dart goes, which is down to Oklahoma or Ole Miss.

He absolutely redshirted to preserve a year if he has to transfer down the line

That’s not really debatable

Nah. It was all Max's fault.

There were some rumblings of Darnell Washington possibly hitting the portal. I've read a few articles that hint at it, but no significant smoke.

The deion smith stuff is weird. Most don't expect him back.

Been a huge bryce langston fan. Big get last recruiting cycle.

He will be needed next year.

I really feel like they want another linebacker.

Please Not the “it factor” again

If you watch nuss he really does have that it factor.
Nuss can throw on the run and escape the pocket.

I think these coaches will be great for nuss. He just needs to learn how to slow everything down.

Chad good QBs spending 5 years at one school has become almost obsolete.

If Nuss doesn’t start in the next year, maybe 2, he’s gone.

He will probably use it from transferring or not use it at all.

I do think it was silly for people to get on nuss about saving his redshirt.

1000%
Nuss is a kid that always needed that redshirt year. The same people that yell and moan for Nuss not playing would be the same fans that judge the performance too harshly and write the kid off rest of his career.

Yeah you're just spouting off shite. Kevin Faulk was just at LSU last week giving a press conference fwiw. There's no bad blood between him and LSU

I was a big fan of Nuss when we recruited him. He's definitely a gunslinger type. If he learns to play within the system and take what the defense gives he'll really excel.

You can’t make a dude leave school. He’s a true freshman that was given a scholarship, and he has every right to complete the academic school year. They can prevent him from participating in team activities—and it sounds like they have—but they can’t kick him out of school like you and the guy below you seem to be hoping for.

But even if they could do that, should they? In this cut throat world of constantly recruiting Hugh schoolers, portal kids, and guys still on your own team, do you want to get the reputation of being an a-hole? Just kicking 18-year-olds to the curb as soon as you assess that they can’t do anything for you? I think the better move would be to say:

“Mr. Smith, we have evaluated you and don’t think you have a future in our football program. However, you did commit to this university, and we want to do anything we can to help you finish out the school year strong and put you in the best position possible academically to be able to transfer to another university and be a part of their football program moving forward.”

Whatever. Something like that. Whether you treat these guys (the outbound transfers) with respect or lIke dicks is going to eventually come back around—I say we avoid being assholes.

That said, I don’t know any of the specifics on the Smith situation—all I just wrote was merely a hypothetical. But this Smith deal is interesting. Didn’t he enter the portal before Kelly was hired? If so, it must not have been a Kelly deal specifically. And he’s super talented—he may have been the most talented WR in the portal—so why hasn’t he landed anywhere? Is it really just as simple as he has to either get his GPA or his completed hours up to be eligible in the fall anywhere, whether that’s at another school or LSU? Is he the a-hole head case LSU wants nothing to do with even if he can get himself in good standing academically? Is there a path for him to stay in Baton Rouge?
